I have lost the remote for the Sony KLV -26HG2 TV and need to tune in the channels.How do I do that using the buttons on the side of the TV?

If you can fix it by yourself, there is a problem in horizontal circuit panel, you need to check that in series because the part appear visbly good but when tested by the exact tester you register busted. that should be replaced immediately. Check also the vertical panel parts of the circuit. but if hard you do the job you may consult the service center of your TV or the vendor of the TV.

Most likely your power board is giving you this problem. If you are lucky it's just the fuse but in most cases it's some capacitor or other element on the board. Easy way to fix is to replace the board. If you are good with electronics you can try to find the bad element on the board and replace it.
