Often you have to use a combination of keys.... alt and the number lock key... to help you out it is often colour coded.

experiment with those keys

Daily password changes to Amazon, Hotmail. What am I doing wrong???

I hope you have figured out your problem by now. I am assuming that you mean you have to reset your passwords daily, which is definitely not a good thing. If you are just changing your password every day for security purposes, that is a little excessive but there isn't anything necessarily wrong with it. For the first case (most likely) consider some of the following:
  • Always keep your antivirus software up to date. McCa
  • Check your caps lock and num lock on the keyboard. Num lock is especially tricky on keyboards that do not have the separate number pads, as some of the letter keys become numbers when num lock is on. Passwords are case sensitive, make sure your caps lock is off when you are creating your password and when entering it.
McAfee and Norton are very good antivirus options, AVG also has a free option.

I hope you find and resolve your problem quickly.

My nook will'not change to numbers.stays on letters.any suggestions?

I assume you mean the Nook keyboard doesn't allow switching between numbers and letters. The built in Nook keyboard isn't the smartest or only keyboard app out there. Now that it's totally free strongly recommend you go into the Google Play Store and install SwiftKey. One hour using it and you'll wonder why you ever put up with Barnes and Nobles chunky idea of a keyboard. Even Google itself has their own keyboard app. You can have multiple keyboard apps installed at the same time. Just use the Switch Keyboard option to toggle between then.
As far as SwiftKey is concerned one of the main features that first sold me on it is it can be resized. I always hated the Nook keyboard just took up so much of your available screen space leaving so little for the input area. Did you know SwiftKey can be setup to show a numbers row at the top just like a regular PC keyboard? Also it can learn your typing patterns over time and predict the most likely word you will use next. Just click the word in the predictions bar.

My Laptop is Toshiba Portege. I want to use te calculator but can not find the number Lock on my keyboard. Where is it?

On my Toshiba Portege I access the overlay number pad by pressing Fn- F11. Try it. To get of that mode, press the Fn-F11 combination again. The led on the F11 key should turn off.

Some key on the keyboard are typing numbers instead of letters what should i do please?

Hi,

You might have accidentally activated the "Numlock" key on your keyboard. Just press the Numlock and it should type in letters instead of numbers.

If press just the Numlock key will not work, try the combination which is CTRL and Numlock simultaneously.

Hope this helps.

My Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-GR laptop wont type the letters o l k i and numbers eight and nine as well as comma - stop - down arrow not working - right arrow not working and delete key not working - also...

You have Number Lock set on your PC - Have a look for a key top right hand side, it will have something like NumLck written on the KEY - you may need to use that Key in combination with the FN key - bottom left of keyboard - there should be a light somewhere on the keyboard which goes on/off as you toggle the NumLck key. You should see different coloured numbers on the key s*()UIOPJKLM These are the numbers and symbols that will be displayed when the NumLock is used
