I have purchased a udw10055 cmera monitoring system and the software dish provided will not work on my computer so I can not get the receiver to communicate to the pc.

my guess this line above means will my PC, can it see these
non IP web cams on wifi, answer NO it is not wifi. at all
it is old junk cameras with custom RF comms, like cheap baby monitors used, for years.
just have cam that it, all the other parts missing.

I see it's this low end older turn key CCTV like system?
wireless (RF) 8 years old it is.
3+ pieces new in a box, 2 cams and this dedicated screen box.
I uses a non standard wireless RF network. (not wifi)

the amazon reviews bleed bad. and justified.! all are this old junk.

The 211 receivers are outdated now, try to contact Dish and get it replaced with a Wally. That should work better for you. Hope that helps!

You will need to readdress the remote to your receiver. I have provided instructions on how to readdress the remote. I hope this helps.

• Remote: All Other Remotes
  1. Go to System Info screen
  2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  4. Press the pound (#) button
  5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Make sure that the software is correct. Should be P4.07
you can go into the DVR and replace the hard drive but I would suggest getting Dish Home Plan, Replace the receiver and then cancel the Home Plan. Talk to Dish Network and they will work with you.

Have you tried channel 3 or the video input channels.
The Tv only needs the one channel that the signal from the box is sent on.
All the viewing channels will be changed through the satellite box.

that monitor wont produce the 1280x720 resolution. It isnt hdtv ready

that's not true i work for dish network if u have an LNB drift of -8 or +8 you can get a free lnb service call and they can come out n fix at no charge
