Connected a 220 v light to the inverter output. Measured with multi meter across live and neutral = 275 v ac with meter on 600v ac setting. Why does it not show 220v as it should ?

Cheap inverters do not regulate very well. Was the voltage measurement taken with or without a load? The real voltage can only be measured under load. Also, most electronics can accept slightly higher voltages and 90-270VAC is not uncommon.

Why is it displaying sc300 error?

High voltage power output error The measured voltage is not correct when the EGB measures each charge output (charge, development, image transfer belt unit, and transfer unit).
  • Disconnected or defective high voltage harness
  • Defective high voltage power supply
  • Defective EGB
  1. Check or replace the harnesses.
  2. Replace the high voltage power supply board
  3. Replace the EGB.

Generac 5250 with a 8 hp Honda engine. Runs fine, no output

Take a resistance reading across the brushes with and Ohm meter. (not running) You should read a low resistance. If you have no resistance across the brushes then then either the brushes are not mating with the armature or the the armature is open.
IF you have resistance then the AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) in the endcap has failed. With the engine running and the Brush block disconnected you should have 4 - 12 VDC on the two wires going to the brush block. No voltage = bad AVR.

My vizio gv42l fhdtv 10a picture flickers like a strobe light, on every input. had the tv since 08. inverter board? main board? Thanks Robert

you need to check first the power supply board whether the output supply 12-24vdc for the inverter board is stable and not flactuating..you can measure the output voltage with a multitester..you get a voltage output of 12-24 with the inverter board is connected or loaded to the system.be carefull of the high voltage at the inverter board..once the output is stable replace the inverter board or you can measure the output of the inverter be very carefull..the output range upto 500vac.be carefull..if the high voltage is stable replace the lamps...tnx and good luck..

Use Sony ICF-C1IPMK2 in Europe

A transformer type (Linear Mode Power Supply) AC to DC power adapter with a 9.V nominal output, measures about 12.V without load when tested with a multimeter. A power adapter with a nominal output of 7.5 V, measures a little over 9.V. Considering a number of people across different forums reported the adapter's measured power output as 12.V, I think the nominal rating of the AC to DC adapter should be 9.V. However, keep away from Switch Mode Power Supplies.

Hello, I've been having a problem with my JVC RX-D302B 7.1 Receiver. Whenever I try to power it on, the blue power light comes on for a moment, then it clicks off. I'm planning to take it to a repair...

Unit is going into protection mode because the amplifier output stage is shorted. Measure output voltage of the speaker lines coming out of each output channel...front/center/rear...take measurement before the channel speaker line protection relay. If any voltage is present then that is the output channel that is at fault. Replacement parts are available to the consumer through tritronicsinc.com. If you have experience with a volt meter\checking transistors\soldering it is something you can do. If not it should be left to a service shop. Have a great day!!

T.V. wont turn on

The voltage might be low because is being loaded down, open the collector of the output transistor and measure the voltage again,if it goes up to 130 or the voltage is suppose to have you might be looking at a bad output transformer(flyback)there are other parts that can cause the loaded down voltage, the yoke can be one and capacitors in the deflection circuit, check to see if one of this caps is overheated (bubble)or cook,Be carefull if you open the collector when you measure the voltage,If you can try measuring the voltage somewhere else.Lets Us know if you need meore help.
