It´s hard to believe, but there is a pedometer manual search engine, they may get it within hours. Just send them a request.
A basic stopwatch is pretty helpful when you're going for a
run. It helps you keep track of your endurance progress in comparison to the
distance you ran. I bought a simple 10$ stopwatch and it serves me pretty good
for my running routine.
Pace out an area that's long
enough for you to take 10 normal steps, in your natural stride, without
having to turn to one side or the other. Place a piece of tape at one
end of this distance, then stand with your toes flush with the edge of
the tape.
Step 2
Carry another piece of tape
with you as you walk straight ahead, taking 10 steps (5 with your left
foot, 5 with the right). Stop at the end of the tenth step and place the
tape flush with the toes of your leading foot.
Step 3
Measure the distance from one
piece of tape to the other, in inches, with a measuring tape. Divide
this distance by 10 to get your average stride length. If, for example,
you walked 290 inches in 10 strides, your average stride length will be
290 / 10 = 29 inches.
