My acspect is too large regardless of the setting. Is there a way to go back to default or adjust it?

  • ozmaniac Aug 27, 2011

The menu and picutre formats don't show ratio settings of 4:4 or 16.:9. You can adjust each acpect from +10 to -10 but it does not change that the picture is too large for the screen. Any words on the top or bottom of the screen end up getting cut off.

It was a bad cable box not the aspect setting on the TV

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in viewing the pictures in full screen. Please set the Aspect Ratio Settings on the TV to Aspect Ration 1 as shown in the below picture to resolve the issue.

Thanks for understanding. Please let me know the devices connected to the TV and history about the issue if it persists.

Hi,

The aspect ratio of the device depends upon the connected device and the source also. The TV is always having a fixed aspect ratio and the native resolution. You can change the settings in the connected devices also.
You can press the ASPECT button on the Remote to change the aspect ratio of the TV. If the aspect ratio is not changing, then check if the connected device is having the option to change the settings.
You can also change the settings from the SETUP Menu >> PICTURE FORMATS of the TV. The normal aspect ratio settings are 4:4 and 16:9.
Please feel free to get back to us if you require any further assistance.
Thanks for contacting FixYa.

Calendars have disappeared

The likely cause of this problem is that you're synchronizing your iPhone Calendar with iCloud or another online calendar service and your iPhone is set to sync only recent events. This option can be found underMail, Contacts, Calendars in your iPhone Settings app. The default setting is one month, however you can tap on this option and choose from either two weeks, one month, three months or six months or simply choose All Events to sync everything in your calendar.

New events created in the iPhone Calendar outside of this time frame are still saved and synchronized to your online calendar (e.g. iCloud), but once the online calendar has been updated, they are removed from the local iPhone Calendar; hence these events appear to vanish shortly after you've created them. Items you have created on these older dates will actually have been saved in the cloud and you would likely be able to see them on a desktop computer; iCal for Mac, for example, automatically synchronizes all events from iCloud to your desktop calendar, regardless of the setting on your iPhone. Further, if you're using iCloud you can log onto iCloud.com from any web browser and you should see these events in your Calendar there as well. In fact, if you adjust the sync setting above to a longer time frame-or All Events-all of these "lost" events should automatically be synced back down from the cloud and reappear; you'll likely even see all of the instances of events that you tried to create multiple times.
Ultimately, unless you have a very large calendar going back several years, it's probably best to just set your sync events preference to All Events, which will ensure that your entire calendar is available on your device and avoid any future confusion with vanishing events.

How do I reset the monitor to correct font size

Hello Lawrie,

You don't actually adjust fonts or resolution on the monitor, you do adjust them in the control panel of the computer. To do this, open your start menu, select Control panel. When the control panel is open check the top left corner to see if it is in Classic or Category view, if it says Category, click the switch to classic mode link. If you don't see this in the top left look at the top right and look for Category or Large Icon View, if Category is selected select Large Icon by clicking on Category and then clicking Large Icon View in the list that appears.

Once in the proper view, click on Display and depending which version of windows you have select Settings on the top of the properties window(XP or older) or adjust resolution from the left column(Vista/7), now find the slider bar for resolution and slide it higher if you want the font smaller or lower if you want the fonts larger. This will set the number of pixels on the screen.

The default and best resolution for this monitor is 1280x1024, if that makes the fonts too small try 1024x768 next and 800x600 last. If the resolution is set too low to see the Ok and Apply button simply set the slider bar then press the enter button the first time, then you will be able to see the Ok and Apply if you need to continue adjusting.

Hope this helps Fixya,

Chris

Reply back with your version of windows if you require more specific instructions or pictures of any of the steps.

My Computer won't but up- the fan goes, the lights blink on the keyboard but then the hard drive quits spinning. I suspect I have a virus. Can I do anything to fix this? I have a Norton Antivrus program...

You should see the HP logo splash regardless of any virus or what the Hard Drive is doing. Abscence of the splash screen at boot means something more essential, such as the power supply or a motherboard or processor is amiss. You may want to substitute another working power supply. Also inspect the large standup capacitors on the motherboard for swelled tops. If you see swelling then the caps have failed. Most people will look for a replacement motherboard when that happens, though the capacitors can be replaced. Replacement requires a 100 watt regulated soldering iron and good soldering skills, the capacitors themselves are not expensive.

If you are seeing the HP splash at boot, then your bios settings may have gotten corrupted (which you can set to the defaults to clear), or the Hard Drive may have a failure. To default the bios, hold the "delete" key at boot to enter the bios setup page. If you can enter the bios, load the defaults (typically F7) save and exit The system will reboot, and perhaps come back to life.

Instead of printing consistently, the ribbon backs up. How do I get it to stop backfeeding

Sounds like the either the ribbon supply or ribbon take-up pressure needs to be adjusted.
Supply Spindle: a pair of set screws near the outermost point on the spindle locks the adjustment in place. Loosen the set screws, then move the center pin in or out to change the spindle pressure. Tighten the set screws then test print

Takeup Spindle: a pair of set screws locks the large adjustment nut in place. Loosen the set screws, then tighten or loosen the large nut, tighten the set screws and test print.

Picture Size to Large?

This may not be the solution; however, please obtain a larger capacity memory card.
A 2GB card will give you several hundred photos. Cost is less than $10.
You really should not lower the resolution. you will lose detail that you may want in the future (really). (4GB card will hold over 999 pictures - $15)
If you must lower the resolution, press "Menu" and use the arrows to move the highlight bar to "resolution" ... change it to a lower number like 6MP. keep the "FINE" setting in place (if your model has that setting) or maybe "BEST".
Do not use "RAW" - (very large pix).
Hope this helps!

Hp Compaq FS7600 17" monitor screen adjustment needed

Um, lets see. Does any of the buttons work? Try and find a button that will switch settings back to factory default. If not go to control panel and change the screen resolution to see if that helps in the mean time.
