Remote Code for Sylvania LC195SL8 TV

I want to program my Directv remote to control my new Sylvania LC195SL8 TV receiver.

I can not find the remote code that I need. Can you shed any light on this?

Jim Jones I have tried ALL the codes listed on DirecTV and none work for my new LC420SS8 42" LCD. I have also tried the Philips and Magnavox codes (as suggested) and none of them worked either. Any suggestions?

Hello,

I also have the same problem. I can not get my Direct TV remote code to work for my Sylvania LC420SS8. I also tried the other suggested codes. Has anyone had any success with finding a Direct TV universal code for this television?

P.S. It is very annoying using two different remotes; one for volume and another for channels/tv guide features.

i also have the same problem. i have a 32" flatscreen hdtv sylvania. their are no ways YET to have the directv remote to work on the tv. yes its annoying having to use 2 remotes but their are no solutions so far for the directv remote to work for ur directv box/dvr nd tv.

I agree it's a pain to use two remotes. This is a name brand TV so why can't we have a code that works the remote?

Sylvania lc4200SS8 - no codes work for the universal remote. Charter, the cable provider, and Sylvania could not help me. No "tech" person for either company could do more than walk me through their manual - a waste of time for both of us. This seems to becomeing more the rule than the exception. One tip - Don't waste money buying a universal remote. Seems they are pretty much useless.

This is a list of all the Pioneer Receiver control codes for DIrecTV remote controls:

I have a sylvania LC320SLX tv and cannot program it with a DirecTV RC64 remote. I saw on your fixya.com site that 11864 works with a DirecTV RC65 remote and wondered if you have tried it on the RC64?...

These codes control Sylvania TV with the RC65, & I suspect they work with the RC64: 11864, 10171, 11271, 11314, and 11394.

Programming DIRECTV Remote
1. Locate the DIRECTV Receiver's brand and model number
(on the back or bottom panel) and write it in the
spaces below.
2. Locate the 5-digit code for your DIRECTV Receiver (see
page 10).
3. Power on the DIRECTV Receiver.
4. Move the slide switch to DIRECTV icon.
5. Press and hold in the MUTE and SELECT keys until the
green light under the DIRECTV icon flashes twice and
then release both keys.
6. Using the number keys enter the 5-digit code. If performed
correctly the green light under the DIRECTV icon
will flash twice.
Magnavox codes:
11454, 10054, 10030, 10706, 10179, 11254

7. Aim the remote at your DIRECTV Receiver and press
that the power key once. The DIRECTV Receiver should
turn off. If it does not turn off, repeat steps 3 and 4, trying
each code for your brand until you find the correct
code.
8. For future reference write down the working code for
your DIRECTV Receiver in the blocks below:

Once you have programmed the DIRECTV remote control for
your TV, you may want to activate the TV Input button.
1. Move the slide switch to the position under TV icon.
2. Press and hold the MUTE and SELECT keys until the green
light under the TV icon flashes twice and then release
both keys.
3. Using the number keys enter in 9-6-0 (The green light
under the TV icon will flash twice)
You now have the ability to control the Input select feature for
your TV.

look in the comcast remote guide and find your tv code. there should be directions in the guide that tell you how to program it. if not call your local comcast provider and they should be able to walk you thru it.

Need code for remote control

To program a TV you can use the code search option. You do this by making sure the TV is turned on then point the remote at the TV then press the TV button once, then press and hold down the set button until you see the RED l.e.d light blink twice, then enter the code 991. Next press the power button then the TV button continue doing that until the TV turn off, when it does press the set button. Press the power button and the TV should turn on again.
