I often brush against the touchpad when typing on my toshiba portegeR600. I cannot find the setting to delay operation of the touchpad when typing. I did set this up some time ago but it has reset

There is no touchpad utility in control panel. I tried searching for touchpad there too. I have previously replaced touchpad drivers to see if the earlier ones were in some way corrupted. I also notice no touchpad icon in the system tray!? Could there be some conflict between the utility and something I downloaded? dropbox is all I can think of...

I already tried this. I will retry.

How touch pad that has been flashed over to android and at first it would not charge because I did not have the right charger now it will not charge at all and is taking me back to the flash cyanogen

Touchpads are really sensitive to the type of charger and cable that is required to charge them. I have had trouble charging mine in the past, but the best form of charger appears to be a touchstone.

It might me worthwhile getting a specific USB charger for the Touchpad that provides enough output. A normal phone charger does not have sufficient power.

Quote from another source:
If you have connected your HP Touchpad to the charger only to find that a charging symbol is perpetually displayed, you will probably need to reset the tablet.

This is done by holding the power and home buttons at the same time for around 15 seconds. During this time, the tablet should shut down, restart and then boot into the installed operating system - albeit with a very low charge.

Toshiba usually set the keys Fn+F9 as the touchpad enable/disable - the touchpad software has to be running in the taskbar to allow this however.

Startup takes forever.....at least a good 5 minutes

Hi Lynne

You may remove unnecessary startup items by using MSCONFIG utility. You may keep only Toshiba Touchpad utility and Essential security programs. Perform maintenance like using Disk clean up and disk error checking. Also using the performance settings definitely will create significant change. If you need further assistance you may post again I will reply asap.

Good Luck
