Can I reverse the door swing on my Maytag Performa dryer>

Here is the link to the owners manual. This feature is not mentioned. Look at the molding in the metal case of the front of the dryer. See if there are identical moldings for the door and latch on both sides. If not, no. Only alternative is to get longer connection hoses and swap washer with dryer left to right.

My maytag performa pye2300ayw dryer will start but will not heat up. No matter how long I leave it on, it just won't heat up. what could be the source of the problem? the model number - pye2300ayw rev - 10...

You have a thermal overload switch that may be bad. It is located under the top of the dryer. Check first the breakers. Turn them off and then back on, then check the wiring in the back of the dryer and then the element itself. It may take 30 minutes to do all of this, but it will save you a lot in the long run.

WILL NOT START. LIGHT ON BUT WILL NOT START

Check the thermal fuse, located on the right side of the heater housing. If bad order LA1053 kit.
Fair warning it's a real patience tester to install correctly

Clothes dryer will start, but won't stay on when button released

Could be a number of issues really.  Motor is what I have found to be a problem, the start windings work, but the run windings wont.  Also it could be a timer causing the problems as well.  Both of these cost a bit of money to replace.  Be sure to check the door switch (not usually a problem), buit check it to be sure.  Let me know what you find out, but sure sounds like a motor issue.  If I come up with any other ideas, I will write them right to you.   Jim

PS Also try and check all your wiring inside to be sure something hadn't come loose.  Forgot about the whole moving thing.  Let me know if I can help you with anything else, like getting into the cabinet, etc.   Jim
