Don't know why this is posed in Chainsaws, but here goes. Check if the windows are 'square', meaning that there are good even gaps all around the window when it is closed. If not, the window may need to get shimmed to make it 'square' again. This is especially a problem on casement windows for bay or bow windows as they hang over the edge of the house. When properly installed, the weight of the window frame is tied into the attic rafters (on a ranch house) by wire cable so the window will not sag over time. If there is a framing support under a bay/bow window, it may need to be adjusted to bring the window back to square.
