Similar. On My Toshiba 32A43, volume goes down automatically.

Let me check if this solution works out.

    Thanks,

You have to unplug the side panel control buttons on your tv. The way you do this is to unscrew the back panel of the tv, which can take time as i had a 47"lcs lg and this happened to me, then in the corner of the tv or wherever your tv control buttons are ytou will see a cord attached to ta motherboard, unplug it fdrom the mother board usually its very small so you may need a tewwzer or small plyers. But when i did this it worked great, the tv stayed off and the volume on my tv stopped changing intermitently.

you may also want to try to use a air spray can just to blow some air in it becuase alot of times dust and if basement humidity can clog up your internal circuit.

I have the same problem. My Curtis Mathes TV volume keeps going up. I could go to the TV and manually turn the volume down but then it would go back up UNTIL we took the batteries out of the remote. After a while we will put them back in, until it happens again. But that will work for a few weeks.

Sounds as though the volume up button is pushed in and activating the switch or the switch its self on the PCB is defective. The plastic push button gets weak or breaks and makes it stick. You could try to pull out the chassis a bit and push the button back out or on some sets you have to replace the front cabinet as one piece.

We got the volume on our RCA tv to stop increasing by pressing the OK button on the remote when it reached a level we could deal with. If we try to change the volume then it goes crazy again but as long as we can deal with the volume it's at we're good.

SOURCE: TV Volume goes up by itself and remote wont work

Hi,

There are 2 reasons that this is happening in respect to the problem commencing after your daughter has cleaned the tv. Either your daughter has sprayed the volume button with cleaner and fluid has got into the the graphite pad under the button and conducting as though the button is being pressed continuously..or she has put too much pressure on the button if it is a metallic plate contact switch. One way to find out is by pressing the down volume button.does it it click ? if it does.try the up volume..If that doesnt click the problem is the metallic plate is dented in making contact hence a new switch. Another cause ive seen is cleaning the remote control with cleaner and fluid has got into the remote and it sends signals to the tv all the time..If the remote control is hidden under a cushion and the problem stops, then the remote control is at fault and needs drying out..Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: Buttons on TV or remote not working. Can only cycle through video input options.

It sounds as though the TVs in a demo mode. Has someone recently been over and was playing with the remote. If so go into the menu of the tV set and look for set up and demo mode. Turn off the demo mode. if this doesent help call i-866-427-3946 and talk to the customer service deptartment. Good Luck

My Samsung PN50C450B1D plasma TV doesn't respond when touching the Menu, Volume or Channel buttons on the TV itself.

Chances are you have a stuck button on the button cluster, what I'd do is remove the connector going to it and use the remote control, with a stuck button the remote won't function properly.

Hello

I have actually seen this before. The tv in my living room did it and it was a simple fix. I had to download the latest software. Put it on a usb key. Turn the tv off... Stick the key in and load the new software.

The only TRICK was that I had to hold down the VOLUME - button on the tv itself while my wife worked the remote.

So, if you can hold down your VOLUME - button and do things to your tv I would think this might work for you too. I know it sounds strange that a software upgrade can fix this, but it did for me.

Hope this helps

The volume on the TV keeps going down by itself. What should I do?

Dont know what tv you have but. You can remove the batteries from remote and if volume still goes down you ruled out the remote as the problem.. Or just take remote to another room. If the problem still exists then Im guessing either a sticky button on the tv volume down or as I have seen to many times.. People clean their tvs with windex or some cleaner and it drips down into the tv messing up the control buttons. Hopefully its just a sticky button..

"snow" screen, full volume, remotes don"t work

good day
due to the long time the buttons were not used, they tend to get stuck and this causes channels eighter to stay in one station or continou scanning. it could be resolved by spraying WD40 on the buttons and press it many times then dry it before operating the unit.
