I change my yahoo mail password and my yahoo email on i pad ask me to go to 'setting' to update my password. But I don't know how to do it.

Here's how to change your recovery email address:

1. Sign in to Gmail.
2. Click the gear icon at the top of any Gmail page, then Mail settings, and open the Accounts and Import tab.
3. Click Change password recovery options in the 'Change account settings' section.
4. Select Recovering your password under Personal Settings. You may be prompted to re-enter your password to help verify your password and protect your account.

You can create a new account in Yahoo Messenger by creating a new Yahoo Mail Account.

If you have existing Yahoo Messenger program in your PC, sign in using your new Yahoo Mail Account ID and Password.

You can sign up to Yahoo Messenger using your Yahoo email address and your Yahoo mail password. You can also check your email for confirmation with your yahoo messenger account.

If you don't have the Yahoo Messenger program download here, : http://messenger.yahoo.com/download/
Then, run the software to install.

Once installed, double click to run..
Sign in using your new Yahoo mail user id and password.

If you don't know the answer of second security question, there is no way for getting in your account and there is no way for knowing your password... but if you added alternate e-mail, a password reset email will be sent to that alternate email and then the link for changing password will be send to your alt mail and then choose your new password.
If you did not add any alternate e-mail there is no way, you should make new account ( but this time make with real details that you know you can never forget ).

You will need to go to www.yahoo.com contact page [ look on the bottom of the opening page] and simply ask them to restore the account. Sometimes Yahoo messes up and can delete an entire account. It happens

The easiest way to remove your Yahoo Mail account is to go to https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user.

First, you will be asked to sign in using your Yahoo I.D. and password.
Then, "Terminating your Yahoo! Account" page will appear, You have to confirm your password and type it in the box.
Next, copy the code shown and type it in the small box before pressing the "YES Terminate this Account" button.

Please remember!

You must be aware that if you delete your account, you could lose all services belonging to the Yahoo products like your Yahoo! GeoCities page, your My Yahoo! settings, your Hotjobs profile and other data in services belonging to the Yahoo!

And if you are paying for any subscription services using your Yahoo Mail account, it is better to cancel all of them before terminating your Yahoo Mail account.

Approximately, 90 days will be given to any terminated Yahoo Mail account before it is completely deleted from the Yahoo users database.

If you are not connected to the internet, you can only work offline, and for example, if you write an email it will not send until you do connect to the internet.

You can configure Outlook 2007 to work with Yahoo.

If you want to "POP" your Yahoo! Mail into your Outlook 2007 application, here's how:

1. From the Tools menu, select "Account Settings." If you do not see "Account Settings," place your cursor over the two arrows at the bottom of the list to display more choices.
2. On the Email tab, click New.
3. Check the box next to the first option, "Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP" and click Next.
4. In the Your Name box, type your name as you'd like it to appear when you send a message.
5. In the Email Address box, enter your Yahoo! Mail address (for example, "[email protected]").
6. Check the box for "Manually configure server settings or additional server types" and click Next.
7. Check the box next to the first option "Internet E-mail" and click Next.
8. In the Server Information area, under "Account Type" select POP 3 from the pull-down menu.
9. In the Incoming mail server field, enter: pop.mail.yahoo.com.sg
10. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, enter: smtp.mail.yahoo.com.sg

Troubleshooting instructions
If you followed the above configuration steps, you should be all set. However, if you cannot send or receive mail with your email client, try the following tips.
The Yahoo! Mail SMTP server requires authentication. Make sure you have enabled SMTP authentication. To turn this setting on, follow these steps:

1. From the Tools menu, choose "Account Settings."
2. Select the "E-mail" tab.
3. Select your Yahoo! Mail account and click Change.
4. Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab.
5. Check the box next to "My Server Requires Authentication."
6. Please make sure that "Log on using" is not checked.
7. Click OK.

To control deletion of messages from the Yahoo! Mail server:

1. From the Tools menu, select "Account Settings."
2. Click on the "Email" tab.
3. Select your Yahoo! Mail account and click Change.
4. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
5. Check "Leave a copy of messages on server" if you want to save your Yahoo! Mail messages on the Yahoo! Mail server as well as on your local computer. Please note that setting your email client to remove messages from the server will cause your messages to be deleted from the server. Once the messages are deleted, we are unable to retrieve them.
6. Click OK.
7. Close Microsoft Outlook and restart.

We strongly recommend that you enable SSL for both POP and SMTP, as detailed in the above instructions. This will ensure that your Yahoo! ID, password and email messages are transmitted securely between your mail client and the Yahoo! servers. However, if you choose to not use SSL for SMTP, your email client will likely default the SMTP port to 25. If your ISP blocks port 25 or if you're unable to send email, then you will need to use port 587 when sending via Yahoo!'s SMTP server. To make this change, please follow the directions below:

1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Account Settings"
2. Select your Yahoo! POP account and click on Change.
3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
4. Click OK and Close.
