First of all I can't plug my DVD player into the TV directly; it has to run through the VCR. When I tried to play a DVD today the top portion and bottom portion of the screen blinked blue, like there was something wrong with the tracking, except for DVDs don't have tracking. Any idea how to fix this?
This is so true and good call on the other techs troubleshooting BUT there is a device thats legal to use and called a macro breaker or tape to tape copy machine ?? theres all shorts of names and cost less then 40 bucks and thats a high avarage. It goes between the video line on the dvd and the vcr.
Do you have any other DVDs to try? there is a copy guard put on dvds called "macro vision" maybe this is the problem. Usualy you will notice this when you try and run the dvd threw a VCR not threw the TV. If you are running it threw the VCR by mistake then try direct threw the tv. This is to keep piracy down.
