Hi my nokia n97 mini is not charging properly and isnt turning on either. i have two chargers for it. the plug-in wall charger is about 2 months old and i have an in-car charger which is about the same age. im suspicious of the wall charger being faulty as i replaced the genuine nokia item with a generic brand, but at the same time i have also tried the in-car charger (which i know for a fact works properly) but phone still wont turn on?!! what do i do?

If they are after market chargers then they are probably not putting out the proper voltage... if they are proper chargers it could be the wall plug is reverse polarity... a 5 dollar wall plug tester which looks like a mini charger and bought at any local hardware store can tell you that with its 3 light system.... be surprised how many are wrong in a house.. if that isn't it the charger maybe shot... unlikely two different chargers are bad though... more likely a second hand pad with dead batteries... which means a trip to the repair Depot. But if they are stolen ...

1 - Switch on your Nokia N97 mini without any sim card.
2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia N97 mini.
3 - Compose #pw+CODE+1#.
4 - The Nokia N97 mini would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!

Have you tried replacing the battery?? If its an older phone, the battery may not take a charge anymore.

Give your mobile for service. The problem will be solved.

Push the reaset button around or under the battery. You might need a paper clip to reset it.

In the manual with my Nokia 5230 Nokia says that when the indicator gives a sign about the unit being fully charged one is supposed first to take charger connected to the phone first and then the plug from the electricity. Take another look at the manual of your phone and checkonthe information on charging

Hi, the problem is with either the phone charger or the charging port IC.. First of all, change your charger and see if the problem will still repeat itself, if it does, then you have to take the phone to a phone technician to change the charging IC.....

Spangley, just plug it into your PC. If your battery needs charging, it will charge slowly simply while being connected to your computer. Nothing else to do!
