0xeb020bc5 error in burning cd in OS vista
it keeps saying burn failed and kicks the disc out. I can play the disc on my DVD player but not in CD player. I am burning MP3 audio files.
Easy, that happened to me and what I did was just took a cotton swab, alcohol and wet it. Then I opened the cd device and smothly clean the eye of the reader, blow indirectly to it's surface and ready! easy solutions for big troubles, enjoy.

you need to change the burn setting. there is 2 settings and you have it on the wrong setting you have it locked to pc's only. in burn setting there is a set of boxes cannot remember the exact wording but you want the one that says works on cd players etc.
The laser lens in your player might be dirty or failing. Try the following solutions: Clean the laser lens with a DVD player lense cleaning disc. Lense cleaning discs are available at many electronics retail store and websites.

google how to BURN DVD-R? DISC.
that m522 is and old RELIC PRE 2001 YEAR, DRIVE, WITH NO SATA PORT, IDE (PATA) ONLY And will never work in any PC lacking PATA ports, 2001 and newer PCs. no way.
endless web sites cover this, (how to burn)
NO PC stated, nor OS but here is generic answer.
.(PC's AC power cable unplugged)
1: insert DVD m522 drive in to chassis., connect power cable and PATA Ribbon cable next
2: power on PC and see modern windows fail to see this device.
it is not supported this old. unless XP or Vista OS is used.
XP and VISTA have zero support now,. and XP is virus magnet.
3: then insert the DVD-R into the tray and close the tray.
label side UP.
4: then run Imgburn.exe (free program.
5: burn anything you want but will not burn stolen, or RIPPed movies.
you can say backup 1000s of office files in a directory folder full o f files to the DVD-R disk, it does a great job backing up files.
What OS and burn software are you using? Can you see the music files when you look at the file explorer on the computer (My Computer or Computer in Windows and double click on the optical drive)? Check if the disc has any scratches.
If you see the music listed on the optical disc, check if the disc was finalized. (Again in Windows Computer, right click on the optical drive and it should be an option if the disc hasn't been finalized.)
If there are no files on the CD-R, make certain that the disc isn't being formatted before you try the burn. (Formatting should only be done on R/W discs.)
If the music files are on the optical disc and the disc was finalized, your CD player is not tracking across the disc properly. Try a lens cleaner. It may need repair and I've never successfully repaired a CD drive (the only ones I've had fail were in computers and were cheaper to replace). The mirror and the belt are the most likely places to have issues.
The problem with creator 2009 has been fixed by the roxio people.
Instead of burning directly to the DVD disk as roxio software states,
one needs to first save this to be AVCHD movie as a file and then burn directly from the file. This works OK, but as stated this is different
from what the software claims. I'm happy. Thanks
try isolating the problem by plugging an external cd/dvd drive via the USB. use this to burn CD/DVD if the process works, replace your laptop dvd drive.
The optical device in his system probably does not support burning DVD discs or his burning software does not recognize it as being capable of burning discs. I would guess the former.
