IMB R50e laptop intermittenley switches on

If you see the wireless LED light glowing, the defenitely it will have the wireless facility. There might be a harware and a software switch for IBM Laptops. Hardware switch is on the left front panel of the Laptop. To find the software control of Wireless, Press Fn and F5 which will open up a Black window and you can switch ON or OFF the wireless.

Could be the power button shorted, Does it operate when not plugged in?

The plug jack on the back where the pc would be plugged in, sometimes loosens and needs to be resoldered too. If the pc works when not plugged in, but does work on just the battery.

If no power on during either, it is probably the power on switch gone. Any lights whatsoever showing?
