I have a Frigidaire model gltf2940fs2 when I try to start it the machine will run a few min's then restart and. I tried to up plugging for a day to see if I could get the computer to reset it's self, Now when I turn it on. it is like I have to power to it and then after about 20 min's the machine starts beeping at me and just want to restart the load over and over? I don't know if my control panel has a short in it or if it is a easy fix?

SOURCE: HOW TO REMOVE THE FRONT

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

Following are my complete and generic guidance notes for checking both the drain motor filter and the drain motor ;-0)
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT (alternatively use a wet vac as sensibly suggested by VinnyB1234!)
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!). These panels are either held on by (plasic) screws or will just pull off. Most filters are held in by a round cover/knob. Sometimes the filter will not come out with the cover and you will have to persuade it to come out to play.

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. Using something suitable like a glove see if it is easy to briefly slow the motor down. If it is easy then the motor is malfunctioning.

If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
John C

SOURCE: Frigidaire Affinity Washer beeps & won't spin

The drain filter is clogged. I had the same problem. There is a filter inside the "drain boot" (black) that comes from the drum to the drain pump. Mine was completely clogged with money, lint, etc..

SOURCE: Frigidaire Front Loading Washer, ATF6000ES stuck on pause mode - HELP!

I fixed this myself and it only took about 5 minutes. The problem is the door latch needs to be reset, which requires unplugging it's three electrical connections. This has to be done inside the washer outer seal, but it is easy to get to. First remove the outer ring that holds the seal on. Next remove only the side of the seal closest to the door latch (again only the outer seal needs to be undone). With this done remove the two screws holding the door latch in place (inside). Remove the latch, unplug the three connectors, plug them back in then reassemble everything. When all is back in place hit "cancel" and it should be good to go.

Code e62 on frigidaire gallery series model GLTF2940FS2

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are receiving an E62 code on your Frigidaire Gallery washer, model# GLTF2940FS2. The E62 code means that there is a communication problem between the different control boards in your appliance. I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and start any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Make sure the mains voltage is correct . if its too low the compressor will overload when trying to restart causing the overloader to kick out, but should only take a few mins to try and restart.

Front loader washing machine EWF1087 stopped half way and did not drain, E50 was displayed. Emergency emptying out the water was done and try to restart. Could not start, still displaying E50. What to do?

the error code E50 indicates that the motor has become overheated, you should give it an hour to cool then try running the washing machine again. I'm also including a link to pdf below with the common error codes for your brand of washer in case you have any other problems

i canty be 100 percent sure
without the model
but it sounds like you motor is trying to start but for whatever reason is cutting out on the overload. Meaning it gets hot,,,and shutsd it self off to save it self
ther ecould be alot of reasons for this,,, far to many to type here,,,
with frigidaire it could be a bad motor capacitor, or a bad start winding on the motor.......
or a simple as a sock between the tubs preventing the tub from truning
sorry i cant be more help
