Volume of some keys (one octave) are lower than rest of the keyboard, any advise please ?

Hi, If by "re" not working you mean note D then try the following.
Keyboard off, hold down top C key while turning on. This factory resets. Does D key now work - if not. Has it ever worked - if not then it could possibly be the ribbon connector between the keyboard and the motherboard. If one of the cables gets bent then this would stop all notes associated with that connection to stop working. This will only have occured if the keyboard has never played these notes or if it has been taken apart.

You could also try the self test mode : Keyboard off, hold C#,F, G# in the 2nd octave up whilst turning on, cycle through tests to sound if it plays all the notes one at a time then the sound chip is ok and it points to keyboard switching. If test mode does not come up in 2nd octave try 3rd octave ( cant remember which one it is from memory )

You can use TRANSPOSE/SETTING button.
Each press the TRANSPOSE/SETTING button cycles through the setting screens. If you accidentally pass the screen you want to use,keep pressing the TRANSPOSE/SETTING button untill the screen appears again.
To lower by one octave,set the value to -12


You also can use PIANO SETTING button.
Find the setting in page 07 of PIANO SETTING.

Those keys come in an octave set. You have to remove one octave to either side also to free them.

to fix this problem you need open where are the contact board keys and clean or change the rubber contact

I’m repairing a casio cdp-220r for the same reason. The F3 key does not sound at all and some adjacent keys sound louder than the rest at normal play attack. I will have to replace the entire octave memebrane as I found that it was broken when I finally got access to it. See phot

The key contacts are dirty. Each key has two contacts to implement VELOCITY sensing. When a certain one fails to contact, then the note is sounded at full volume. The contacts are conductive rubber pills pressed onto circuit traces. Clean only with 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q tips very gently. It takes a LOT of dis-assembly and care to do this. It might be better to take this to a repair shop. There is a possibilty that a liquid was spilled into your keys as well. Cleaning is the answer.

Thisis hard to troubleshoot... The keyboard insynths are usually scanned as a matrix... If a disconnect diode has failed, then wrong notes can be triggered. There is USUALLY rows of the diodes on the circuit board where the keys hit. There are usually TWO contacts per key in order to sense key velocity. The lkey contacts are usually conductive rubber pills pressed against circuit traces under the keys. One sometimes needs to clean these contacts using 99% isoprophyl alcohol and Q tips.
I would do further testing of ALL combinations of notes played together to see if possibly any others show up as that could point to a particular failure.

In Casio Chord mode, the bottom keys up to the second F plays Bass Chords. The Keyboard is just putting the keys you play back into bass when you get up that high. If you read along the plastic edge above where they keys come out of the keyboard, it shows you where the Chord keys end and the Keyboard begins. If you want use of all the Octaves, slide the power switch to the first setting (normal).

If this is the kind of organ with the wire sticking out of the key that makes contact with the bus bar to create the note you will have to make sure that key is operating the same as adjacent keys. The busbars have to be clean and the contact wires have to be clean. Sometimes when cleaning the wires they will spring out of place and not make contact with the appropriate bus bars. Check that key against the rest and see what you find. Hope this helps.
