The TV is a 1996 Sony Trinitron KV-32V16 32" screen. When the TV has been turned off for an extended period of time (such as over night), it takes hours for the picture to appear. During this time the sound is heard and is fine, however, the screen is completely black. Once the picture does appear it is fine. When the problem first started to occur it to minutes for the picture to appear, but over time it took several hours for the picutre to appear.
Spounds like the b+ feed filter capacitor off the flyback that supplys voltage to the three drive transistors on the crt board is bad.
