Blue ink - printing problem

Hi there,

Having a problem with the blue ink in our Canon MP830. We only use Canon ink cartridges and printing has been fine. A few days ago however, I whenever I print anything that has blue in it it prints stripey. I went through the usual printer head cleaning, deep header cleaning etc but nothing seems to make it work. When you open the lid it does look like the blue ink might have burst at some time as there seems to be splodges of blue ink inside the printer (this dry however!!).

Not sure what else to try!

Hi,
Your Cyan cartridge is empty and need replacement. Maybe you can clean head of Cyan cartridge with alcohol but symptoms are the empty cartridge!
Good luck.

My parents have the Canon MP830 printer. All the ink cartridges are in correctly but I cannot get it to print yellow & blue. I did a test print & cleaned the nozzle then did another test print...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Canon mp830 printing pinkish instead of blue

Hi

You have stick residue in the print head. Just run the print nozzle for 2-3 times to get the correct color.

Also, be sure that all ink cartridges are full because if one of the color is empty, you cannot achieve the correct color when one ink color is missing.

Please let me know if you need more help

Blue ink turning pink?

Ah! But did you put it the right place? It's sounds like it could be a leak on the cartridge though otherwise.

MP830 prints yellow when it's supposed to print green

Run the maintenance utility for cleaning the color printhead; you are missing cyan at the moment so it is either exhausted or clogged.
If you still get no blue output, you may need to replace the printhead or cartridge. BTW, don't let it sit too long, the residual ink can really finish off the printhead.

Pixma mp830. The blue stopped printing right. When I print a photo, it has almost no blue. We had been using non Canon ink cartridges, but just switched back hoping it would help. None of the maintanence...

you got a clogged print head (probably due to using non-canon ink) if the printer driver maintanance feature does not fix the problem, it is already a hardware issue & it needs servicing. check your warranty.

Printing problems

If your not low on ink try shaking the cartridges right before you use them.

My Canon PIXMA MP830 all-in-one is saying "the type of printhead is incorrect, install the correct printhead."

The cartrige is what holds the ink, the printhead is the device that puts the ink onto the paper.

So if your out of ink, then you need a new cartridge, if you have a new cartridge and you are having issues printing good quality, then you may need a new printhead.

you can get the ink here: http://printerinkcartridgesearch.printcountry.com/canon-pixma-mp830-ink-cartridges.htm

printhead is about 49.95

Hope this helps!
