I am unable to get any channels on 2 portable tv,s in the bedrooms since the digital switchover are my tv,s now defunct and do i need to buy new ones ??

The 2 portable tvs,dose it have a big bulky back?Yes,than these 2 tvs are analoge tvs.U still can use them though for DTV free air channels broadcasting by running it throught a box called a Ditgital Coverter Box.These Digital Coveter boxes u still can buy them on websites like Amazon.com,Ebay.com to used for analoge tvs wanted to pickup free air DTV channels broadcasting.

Refer its service manual and make a factory reset to it. To downlaod the service manual, google it with its brand name. I don't think there will ba a free download site for this brand TV. All download sites will be paid.

The one that does not work: have you tried to unplug it for a while from power and plug it back to see if it will reboot and allow you to program?

This TV will work fine for the switchover. As it is already using the freeview box, technically, you have already done the switchover.

Post switchover, I still receive BBC 1, 2 etc on my TV with a set top box, but can't get them on my TV upstairs with integrated receiver. Same aerial. I have added in a booster/splitter to no effect.
Buy a digital antena,hook it up.Will get a stronger signal,rescan all the channels again.Should get every channels back.

Hitachi TV - no signal on DTV since switchover
Hi It sounds like you need to re-tune your DVB-Tuner on your TV, NOT the old analogue one, it'll be in settings or setup, or installation and use the "First Time Install" option, because it clears all old channels and loads all fresh new ones! hope this helps!

It's probably curtains I'm afraid. The software in this TV is only compatible with the old standard (2k) and not the new standard (8k). Sony aren't releasing any updates so you'll need a digibox (or a skip!)

If you were unable to tune in digital before the switchover then most likely your digital reception is poor. Unlike analog signals you will not see anything on screen until it can lock in. You may have to repoint your TV antenna or check what size of antenna you need at antennaweb.org

Receive one channel with Coverter Box
Make sure those 6 channels are also being broadcast in Digital format also, otherwise your converter box won't have a digital signal to convert for your TV. The switchover date is early next year I believe.
