There isn't much inside a charger, and the components are relatively cheap. BUT getting into them is usually the problem. What usually goes is either the diode or the chip. Dewalt considers it a sealed unit, so finding schematics for it is not easy. If you have the time and patience, then you can crack it open and troubleshoot it. But they aren't that expensive on ebay so I wouldn't take it to a shop.
First make sure that the unit has power. Then make sure it is not all full of dust or junk that prevents the battery from making contact. Make sure the metal contacts on the battery and the charger are reasonably clean. If it still does not work for any batteries then it is most likely bad the battery may be shorted out also. Hope this helps
Hi,
I assume that you have tried it with another battery...if not try a different battery...the battery you tried maybe bad... this often happens...
If more then one battery does not work, then check the contacts inside where the battery goes to make sure there is no dirt on them or that they have not become bent...
If all that checks out then the charger went bad...

I would say that the charger has gone bad then...don't know that you can fix them... not sure that you would want to when you can buy them on Ebay fairly cheaply...
What you are not understanding here, is that it is not a wiring fault but the circuit board that has failed...they are not available as far as I can tell... been there done that... is you can find it, please post because I would love to know where to find them...
