Printer not connecting to computer -no disk - need instuctions to re-connect printer

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X3650 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on FILTER > click on the printer driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to successfully install the printer.

I have a Lexmark x7170 3 in 1. I got a new-ish laptop with Vista and now my scanner doesn't work. I've tried download drivers, but nothing seems to work. Are the compatible at all?

In this case Try to Do a Wia scan i will tell u how..........
Windows Vista: Go to Start/All Programmes/Windows Photo Gallery...........
There you will see an option saying File click on that and now on the drop down click on Import from Scanner or Camera.........Select ur scanner from that list and click on Import.............
If it doesnt scan and does the same thing it insists that there should be a Problem with the scanner.........
If that works..........
Software Problem.............
Uninstall and Reinstall the software................

Try reinstalling the printer

you can find the same drivers that are on the cd from this lexmark page just find your product from there.

I can't get my setup cd to work

Please follow the steps given below to download the driver for the Lexmark X3650 printer:

1. login to www.lexmark.com
2. click on Drivers and Downloads and click on Driver finder.
3. under "Choose Your Printer" type "Lexmark X3650" (which is the same for X3650) and click search.
4. Select "Windows Vista,Windows XP, Windows 2000" from the drop down list.
5. click on "Download Now" and lcik on save and save it on to your desktop.
6.Next, follow the instructions to install the driver.

Try first by downloading the latest driver for your device : http://support.lexmark.com/index?locale=en&page=product&productCode=LEXMARK_X3650&segment=SUPPORT&userlocale=EN_US&frompage=null#2
The WIA driver is included in Windows but you should first make sure the Lexmark driver is correctly installed .
You also can go to Start / devices and printers and check the printer there .

Haven't solved your issue yet ? Download this third party software :http://www.irfanview.com/
In the start window , look at the bottom left to activate the
twain program and select the WIA option . You' re done ! Fanaudi .

If it was working previously check that your Shell Hardware Detection service is started:
Win7
Start->Services->Shell Hardware Detection->Properties->Startup Type->Automatic->(Service Status Click START)->OK

I am posting this here since I just had this problem and did not find this specific solution online. Hopefully as a related topic this may help others.
