I keep getting the error 323. I forgot my name and pass to the router and i cant get on the internet through 192.168.1.1 because its not admin i changed that to. can u help and tell me what to do. i have done the reset i have pulled the power and still nothing it keeps throwing that error

Reset your router back to it's factory settings by holding the reset button for about 5 seconds. I have provided a list of the most popular router brands. If it does not work you may need to google what your specific model's default IP address/default username/default passwords are, for example search for "Encore ENHWI-2AN3 default IP address" The default login info can change, it can depend on where you obtained your router. If you purchased it yourself from a store then the standard defaults should work. If you obtained your router from your Internet Provider you may need to contact your service provider. It also may depend whether it's an old or new model router as well. And you may need to press and hold the reset button on your router several times before it actually clears. Make sure you have a wired connection then once you have accessed your router simply run the Setup Wizard. Set your SSID as something you'll remember like "Mavericks Network" and your Password can be something like your phone number for example 3109876543

Belkin - Username: Leave the field blank Password: Leave the field blank Default IP address is: 192.168.2.1

Buffalo - Username: root Password: Leave the field blank Default IP address is: 192.168.11.1

D-Link - Username: admin Password: Leave the field blank Default IP address is: 192.168.0.1

Encore - Username: admin Password: admin Default IP address 192.168.1.1

Linksys - Username: admin Password: admin Default IP address 192.168.1.1

NetGear - Username: admin Password: password Default IP address will be: 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

TP-Link - Username: admin Password: admin Default IP address 192.168.1.1

TrendNet - Username: admin Password: admin Default IP address 192.168.10.1

Zhone - Username: admin Password: admin Default IP address 192.168.1.1

Zyxel - Username: admin Password: 1234 Default IP address 192.168.10.1

  1. Press the PIN hole on the back of the router
    Remaining instructions are for in Windows navigation
  2. Press windows button + R
  3. Type "cmd" and press enter
  4. Type "ipconfig"
  5. Scroll down to locate the "Default Gateway"
    Example: 192.168.1.1
  6. The default gateway you need to go to in your internet browerser.
  7. From here the setting will be different depending on the model of the device.
    Possible logins

Are you able to log in to the router? If you connect via ethernet cable and then find your default gateway (run "cmd" and type ipconfig then hit enter) - go the the default gateway in internet explorer (its usually something like 192.168.1.1)
Then if you can log in to this then you will be able to change the security back to something you know. If you havent changed the password to get into the router then it will be the standard, you can google the router model to find this out but its usually "admin" + "admin"

If you cant do this then you will have to reset the router but beware you will need to have on hand your username and password for your broadband service (you can get this by calling them or it may also be on some paperwork they sent)

I have new comp. forgot password for wireless router
it is too involed to find the pass word and user name if it has been assigend one prvious siply unplug the router or the small button wich will reste the router do a Google search for default pass word some older ones usually is admin with no password or admin admin once you reset the router you go back and reset all of the settings these setting are how the modem and your i.s.p talks to each other the addtional settings are security for the wireless setting they are set up by you and match to the setting on the wireless device you can do a Google search on wireless security addtionally if you have torrent programs and games or some program that needs a open port to access the internet look up port forwarding

Find pass key for our lap top for the family network.
Log into your router's web interface, if possible through a computer connected to the router by cable, by starting an internet browser and navigatng to its maintenance IP address, usually set by many manufacturers to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. An authentication request will come up. As you haven't speciffied your router model, there are routers whose both user name and password fields are set to 'admin'. Other routers use 'admin' as user name only, requiring the password field to be left empty. Once you get into the router's web interface, go to the wireless settings, and change the wireless passphrase to a new one of your choice. Make sure to change the other devices, which use to connect to the router, to the same new passphrase.
If you need further details, please, provide your router model and manufacturer.

if there is a pass required, it is admin

if you entered something and forgot it, do a hard reset. Find the hole in the bottom or the back and insert a paperclip. Gently depres and hold the button down for 3o or more seconds. Oh yea, unplug it first.

As an initial info try to do a hard reset on the unit, this process will restore the system into a original settings. you can find the reset switch on either on the left of right sight of your router.

second think is that if your isp provider give you a pppoe connection then you have to give the username and password which isp provider give you. try it

Setup problem
Hi,

The admin user name and blank password, is a default setting of the dlink, perhaps somebody would have changed the default setting on it, Hence Please press the reset button and reset the device to factory defaults, you may need to press the reset button for 30 secs and once the reset is done, Unplug the power for 120 secs and then turn it back on. And now you can try the same, I strongly feel that it should work now, Furthermore the settings saved on the router would be set to factory defaults hence, you may need to configure the router/Modem for internet connectivity.

Kindly let me know the Kind of internet service that you are using for 'Help with modem/router configuration'
