You can use the keyboard shortcut keys shift+ select and ctrl + select to select numerous entries from a list, then delete the entire list between selection points or all of the selected entries. In other words, hold down the ctrl or shift key while you select items you wish to delete from the list, continue to hold it until you choose the next item(s) (for ctrl), or the last item in a continuous series (for shift), then release the shift or ctrl key and choose delete to delete the selected items.
There is however, a setting in the email options that allows you to have mail items that are deleted from your pc to be also deleted from the server. In other words, they will be permanently removed from your email account, both in your local storage folders in your pc, and also deleted from the online storage servers that your computer connects to to download your email...If you choose the option that these messages are deleted from the online server, then when your laptop connects online and synchronizes the inbox with the online server, the messages should also be removed and the inbox should look like your pc's inbox.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Try draging your items from the deleted items folder and placing them in the storage deleted items folder. all the items should then delete and the deleted items folder should work fine in future.
