Hello Check first the volume setting, then if there's not ok,check the speaker.Remove the back cover and check the speaker if good or not.If the speaker is good check the wirings and connector terminal of speaker through the sound amplifier.If all is ok,then the problem is the sound amplifier.

Have you tried DVD lens cleaner, More than one shop bought DVD disc and 1. Menu 2. Scroll down to installation press ok 3. Scroll down to first time installation 4. Scroll left for yes press ok then once reset follow on screen instructions to set this back up.

We have just got a finlux 32hme249s-t smart TV. We are trying to record but it keeps coming up with no remove disk is connected initialisation fail . Recording and playback functions are disabled .

No sound, no sound

Be sure SAP is not turned on. Also if its only using the hdmi try unplugging tv and source for a few minutes and then turning back on. I have seen this cure no audio issues especially after sudden loss of power occurred.
If that doesn't take care of problem the you have a defective main board.

When a overhead light is switched on,the tv sound goes and picture breaks up

sounds like distortion from this overhead light you are turning on.
try TV else where in another room for example.. see if it reacts to other equipment being turned on
