I have a Samsung LE32R738D and a few weeks ago we lost all but one digital channels and four analogue channels. the digital channel (BBC1) that we have is frozen. On DTV the D.MENU option is not available and the Plug & Play menu is greyed out. I have tried to reset using TV on with Remote/Info/Menu/mute and Standby but do not see the Service Menu I expect. Can you help me please?

SOURCE: SAMSUNG LE32R73BDX/XEU TV

just spoke to Samsung support and it turns out that the freeview tuner had froze and needed resetting. To do this put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu. Press the 'down arrow' untill you've highlighted option 12 - 'reset' and then press the 'right arrow' to enter the option. TV will turn off and when you turn back on it will start in 'plug & play' mode as if new. Set the time and country options and then it will perform a complete scan. I've just retuned mine and all back to normal. Hoorah!!!! :-)

SOURCE: Samsung LE32N7 - Analogue channels ok - Freeview

This is very common to a number of Samsung models built at the same time as yours and using the same in-built Freeview receiver.

There is no fix, the built in receiver is simply incompatible with the most recent updates to Freeview (as happened to many external boxes) and cannot be modified, the only puzzle is the length of time that your receiver kept going for. If your tv has a warranty still then you may wish to see if the fault is covered.

Without a warranty, all you can do is continue to use an external Freeview receiver. They're usually better quality anyway, and are easy to replace when they go wrong or become out of date.

How do I retune my Samsung smart TV 40"with 3D

Country (Area)

Broadcasting > Channel Settings > Country (Area)

Select your country so that the TV can correctly auto-tune the broadcasting channels. This depends
on the country or region.
When the PIN input screen appears, enter your 4 digit PIN number.

Digital Channel
Change the country for digital channels.

Analogue Channel
Change the country for analogue channels.

Manual Tuning

Broadcasting > Channel Settings > Manual Tuning

Scans for a channel manually and stores in the TV.
If a channel is locked using the Channel Lock function, the PIN input window appears.
This function depends on the country and region

Page 147 of this User Manual located on this page will give you more information. (Sorry it wouldn't let me link the PDF manual directly)

Ferguson DV3 set-top box not finding BBC channels

I have solved the problem by selecting Manual Tune in the Menu. This means selecting each channel one at a time beginning at 21. The indicator shows the Signal Strength and Quality for each channel. If both show a green bar (strong on both counts) give it time to identify the new programs on each channel and add them. It will show how many found and added if you wait a few minutes. When each channel is done, move on to the next one. The last channel is 65 I believe but there is not much up the top end.
When I had finished going through this routine I found it had indeed added all channels I needed including BBC1 and BBC2

Samsung LE26R73BDX 26INCH - LOSS OF DIGITAL SERVICE

Solution that worked for me:

Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.

Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.
