Well i got my car serviced yesterday, an i checked my oil today an it had no oil on the dip stick. Also, it doesn't seem to be leaking from the bottom. Another problem the vacuum has dry rotted in two places on the same hose an its letting trash into the engine. i had the oil pump an the oil pressure gauge replaced, but that still hasn't seemed to resolve the problem. I dont know what to do! Please help?

It is possible that when the vehicle was serviced they may have forgot to put oil in the engine, also check if the sump plug has been put back in, as for the perished hose they apparently didn't see it or just could not be bothered to do the job properly, the first thing I would do would be to contact them & complain about the job that they done, the second thing would be to find a mechanic that I could trust to do the job properly.......hope this helps....... cheers.
PS. don't forget to put some oil in the engine.

You are leaking fluid. Check to see that the hoses don't have residual fluid on them indicating a leak. Also check to see if your water pump isn't leaking out the seal. Another thing to check is the oil dip stick. Make sure the oil looks normal and not watery indicating a crack in the block. These are only a couple of things I would start with.

OIL LEAKING COMING OUT OF DIP STICK HOLE

sounds like you engine cant vent so its using the weakest point the dipstick, check your engines breathing system and the pcv valve it might be blocked, find it connected to the air filter housing with a hose , it should rattle when you shake it if not replace it.

Spiral dipstick in new car

A lot of cars have these sticks. It’s best to dip first ting in the morning before the engine is started the oil would have settled by then. Otherwise when it’s hot leave it for an hour then dip it.

2006 vw passat. screen says stop! warning low oil. engine off ? what does that mean? Also servive engine now! I just bought the car yesterday and it has no owners manual. I did notice what looked like...

First, check your engine oil level , while on level ground, add if it's low. (The oil viscosity should be labeled on the oil filler cap) Blue smoke is a sign of burning oil, not a good sign. White smoke is a sign of coolant mixing with your engine oil, a worse sign.
Your computer is telling you to check your oil, so do it, or get it done.
If your oil is low, top it off and keep checking it regularly to see if your engine is consuming it. If it is, I would recommend getting it looked at for either a leak, or low compression. (Worn out piston rings will cause oil consumption and poor performance.)

Had my oil changed on Saturday and yesterday (Sunday) while driving my check engine light came on?

Check if the oil level with the dip stick. The oil level should be inbetween the low and high level marks. Is there any signs of leaks?

Filled the water resevoir with antifreeze to correct level yesterday, today it appears empty

if you take it to a radiator repair centre they can do a pressure test ,then you will know if it is leaking out or being taken out through the motor , have you checked to see if your oil is discolored or higher on the dip stick,if so a head gasket could fix every thing but if you havnt seen water under the car, then that could be areal possibility anyway

Is there a way to check my transmission fluid

alot of new cars do not have a check stick. If you dont have a leak then its most likely just fine. What we do to service these is on the tranny there are two holes. One on the bottom and one close to the top. You fill till it overflows out the top hole. thats it.

Oil leak

could have the wrong dip stick holster or wrong dip stick there sould be a bolt holding the holster down in the side of your motor if you losen the bolt take it out an chek the seal around the holster if the hoster dose not snug in our out you can buy a new one and try that but im just taking a wild guess or while you have the holster out look down it an make sure it dos not have something jammed in it
