Hi.

The loud banging noise in the spin part of the cycle is usually caused by bad drum bearings. The repair is carried replacing the bearing at the back of the drum. Such kind of replacement is carried disassembling most of the appliance to reach the back of the tub. If you have not done similar repairs before it may be better to call a technician ringing the Asko support number listed on the owners manual.

Regards.

Ginko

I have an ASKO T700 dryer. When I turn it on, it makes a high pitched squeak. If it's on for longer than a minute, I can smell a burning smell. Any suggestions?

you got a roller or belt idler not turning and burning the drum belt. you have to take the dryer apart and find the problem. if you need to lubricate a roller or idler use mineral oil or roller oil, do not use wd-40 or 3 in one.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

Asko t701 dryer makes exsessive noise and drum rotates slowly

Mine was very noisy. Then I found the impeller clogged with lint. I cleaned it and now the noise is gone.

Remove the lower panel (2 Torx T20 screws).
Remove the impeller cover (1 Torx T10 screw and 4 snaps).
Clean impeller.
Reinstall covers. Don't overtighten screws.

Aslo T700 Dryer Heats but won't dry.

TRY DISCONNECTING THE EXHAUST FROM THE BACK OF THE DRYER AND RUN ONE LOAD THROUGH IT. IF IT DRIES O.K., THEN YOU HAVE A RESTRICTION IN THE DUCT WORK.

Banging noise

You may have had a foreign object slip under a loose drum baffle. Manually rotate the drum to locate wwhich baffle it is in.

Asko T700 loose belt, access from front?

I think you must replace the belt and the tensionarm. It MUST be done from the backside of the machine... Remove the backpanel, and the drum, change the tensionarm, and put the drum into the machine again. Put on the new belt, and mount it together again. Be careful for sharp edges! Hope this helps :-)

Asko T700 dryer

Seems like you need new drum rollers. If one(or both) is bad, the drum will rub in the plastic.

ASKO t700 dryer thumping sound

usually whin you get one thump (or a quick double thump) you have a dent in the roller surface of the drum itself. Easiest way to check this is to unplug the unit and take the top off by removing the 3 torx screws in the rear, then lifting the top off. Once the top is off look at the very front edge of the drum as you rotate the whole thing by hand. If you see any irregularities on the surface, thats your problem. If you see nothing it could be a bad motor or roller, but its unlikely if its happening in the same place on the rotation evry time. What has usually happened with dents in the surface of the drum is that the unit was set down too hard (or dropped) and the wheels it rests on dented the metal they ride on. If thats the case the only solution is to replace the drum or live with it .Good Luck!
