There are no drivers for this product. There is software however that does work on windows 7. You register can tell you how to do simple operations.
Put your key in the PGM position, and hold down esc/help.
A help menu will print. This menu will tell you how to look up programming commands.
For example, Pressing 1 then Help will give you instructions on how to program the date and time.
The instructions will print right on your register tape.
Here is a link for the Cash Register and tells how to program it. I suspect the you plugged the unit in after the cash register was under power. unplug the register and reinitialize it with the scanner plugged in so it will actually see it. Then try using it again
