Hello ted, I see that you have replaced the compressor fan motor and you have assured as well that the fan is working correct? In all actuality it is best to put the outside fan source around the rear of the machine to blow directly on the compressor itself. Questions for you how fast is the new compressor fan motor spining does it look like it is working properly or is it spining slowly? If the fan were spining properly then you would look at an issue most likely with the condensor where you would most likely have a clog in the condensor itself. You would have to call for a technician to come to your house and replace the condensor. I will await your reply Thanks
Rick
p.s you could also have a clogged capilary line as well which would also cause this as well where the oil from the compressor is not able to move to cool so instead it just heats up due to a blockage in either the capilary, the condensor, or one of the lines. This usually happens from the compressor fan motor not cooling and the unit running and not being able to cool.
That would depend on if you had a refrigeration license and were able to cut the refrigerant line and have an evacuation pump and an evacuation tank ready and available to remove the refrigerant out of the unit. You also have not responded to if the evaporator fan motor was spining at the proper speed nor answered any other question that I purposed. We arent able to see the unit that is in question. I will await your reply once again Thanks Rick
Sorry it took me a bit ted just returned off the road last service appointment was 75 miles away. If the fan is not turning check the wiring with a multimeter to see if you have power going to the fan if you dont you can trace the wire right back to the board. Make sure you check for any breaks or burn out spots in the wire. Your main control board is located in the ceiling of the refrigerator as seen on this link http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdir... part number 6 is your main control board. I will await if you have any other questions and to your finds as well Thanks Rick
p.s please also note I do run two appliance repair companies but I do answer all customers questions daily and I am also on nightly as well. Thanks Rick
Ted also check that the fan is able to spin as well if you did not hook the new fan in properly and it has to sit exactly in the right spot then the fan blade wont spin the motor would heat for the compressor fan motor and eventually short out due to being to hot. I await your reply Thanks Rick
p.s when you hooked the new compressor fan motor up and installed the new one was it working? You can actually bench test the fan motor by removeing it then takeing a extension cord cutting off the female end and adding two electrical connectors then plug the two electrical connectors to the two connection points and plug the other end into the wall. By doing this it would make the compressor fan motor run and as I have found out time and time again when ordering new parts defective parts are not uncommon causes me to test everything. I await your reply Thanks Rick

Condenser lines that are getting exceptionally hot can indicate a condenser that is covered with lint and preventing proper air circulation. You can remove the bottom grill and check if the condenser is clogged with lint. The area around the panels do normally get hot and as long as the condenser is clear and air is circulating then most likely this is normal.

I have blown everything off with an air hose. Everything is as clean as can be. Right now the freezer temp is 6 degrees, the recommended temp is zero. It won't get there. I can only get to the recommended temperatures by putting an external fan blowing on the front grill.

Your solution is get a technician out to fix my refrigerator. That is what I was going to do before I contacted you. I feel like I wasted $15 and two days.

Did you ever get this issue resolved? If so, what was the problem? I have the same refrigerator and it's doing the same thing. Steven
