Nice books, have many. 8540s./. better.
i can not decode this post.
sorry
does it run with no battery and the correct pack
mine has 10 options new the i7 and the fast video card suck huge power and mine needs a 100watt pack, the 65w on mine is HOPELESS. see?
run the correct matching pack,
step 2 a new battery, i keep 2 good ones all the time
on Vacation, id not be wanting to find batteries 3000 south of here, ever. (south of the boarder)

test with no battery
then with correct power pack (the charger is a chip inside the pc and in this 19vdc pack its only a power pack pure DC.
then try a new battery ,

if you read your service manual at HP.com
it tells you all packs used and why, and the match.
sure does.
and varies by OPTIONS DAY1. in all case
unless upgraded like mine, is, and sucks max amps mine does.

SOURCE: hp compaq nx9110 runs only on battery when it is plugged to AC

It sounds like you have a faulty power jack, and possibly a dead battery as well. You should take it to a person you may know that can order and solder a new one in or take it to your local electronics repair shop. I do repairs like this on a daily basis for my computer business.

How to charge a HP Elite book 2560p without a charger

You need to replace the charger. It's a 65W 18.5/19.5V unit. This https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Charger-EliteBook-Galaxy-Bang/dp/B01CL22AL6 is a generic compatible charger. Walmart has an HP charger here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Genuine-HP-Power-Adapter-Charger-Compatible-with-EliteBook-2560p/762619019 . Note: these are for the US electrical system. Make sure to get the right type for your location.

Hp laptop trouble with power on

There could be several reasons why your HP laptop is not turning on and not charging even after installing a new power button board and DC in port. Here are a few possible causes and troubleshooting steps you can try:

Battery: Even if the laptop is connected to the charger, if the battery is faulty or dead, the laptop may not turn on. Try removing the battery and plugging in the charger directly to the laptop. If the laptop turns on without the battery, then it's likely that the battery needs to be replaced.

Charger: Check if the charger is working properly. You can try using another charger with the same voltage and amperage to see if the laptop starts charging. If the laptop starts charging with a different charger, then your original charger may be faulty.

Power Jack: Make sure the power jack is properly connected to the motherboard. If it's loose or not properly seated, the laptop may not charge or turn on. You can try reseating the power jack or replacing it if it's damaged.

Motherboard: If none of the above steps work, then the problem may be with the motherboard. A damaged or faulty motherboard can prevent the laptop from turning on or charging. In this case, you may need to take the laptop to a professional repair technician or consider replacing the motherboard.

In summary, the laptop may not turn on even when connected to the charger if the battery is dead or faulty, the charger is faulty, the power jack is loose or damaged, or the motherboard is damaged. It's important to troubleshoot each of these components to identify the root cause of the issue.

Kind of vague. It could be the port on your laptop where the charger plugs into. It could be bad, or could have a bad connection to the motherboard due to use or manufacturing defect. When the charger stops charging then it has to use the battery power. This morning the battery may have had a low charge causing the laptop to shut down. Did you notice the battery's power level before it shut down? If you are wiggling the end of the charger that is plugged into your laptop to get it to start charging again, then that is most likely your problem. Do not wiggle it , for it could fry your motherboard. If that is the case then that port needs to be re-soldered.

Hi, I couldn't say what's wrong without looking at it but here are a few things to try:
First, be sure that there is power. some laptops report 'plugged in' simply because the plug is in the computer. Check fuses etc.
Second, remove the plug and then remove the battery. replace battery and re-plug the charger. This should reset the electrical system.

Hope this helps,

If your computer won't charge the battery, but the battery charges fine in another computer, and you are sure that the charger is good, then your problem is probably the DC power jack. If you wiggle the end of the power cord where it attaches to you laptop, and it starts charging properly, then the DC power jack is broken.

My laptop stop charging.

Batteries get old and wear out. Be use AC outlet is working. Check for power light on AC/DC charger box between laptop and AC.

It is common for Laptop charging/power connectors to get worn and/or loose(intermittent). Try to get charging light on PC by wiggling power connection to PC.

If not, if you have a VoltOhmMeter(VOM). check for 5V on barrel power connector on the charger side, that plugs into PC, Outside conductor is GND and Inner connector is (+5V). VOMs are cheap at RadioShack or AutoParts stores and are a handy tool to have around the house. Book shows you how to measure. PC is 120V AC on Wall side of PC Power Supply from Wall Outlet, and 5V DC on PC side of Charger.

Charger may be defective. Cheap on Ebay.
