They both use the same speakers, my personal opinion deems they are both the same. However the second SoundDock charges via USB pin, so it is future proof for future iPods.
Absolutely! Keyword(Read the instruction and follow it step-by-step.) Well,if you do,you wouldn't be asking for help, cause you want a 50+ pages Denon manual instruction to be concise to few paragraphs so you could move on with your life-:o) Okay.only this time! Denon ipod docking station comes with a power plug and a set of cable which you need to connect behind the Denon AVR-2807 receiver which is under an INPUT LABEL for IPOD only(not going to give it away, you will find it!) Now,of course you could use HDMI......but,the quickest way to view your video(on screen menu) will be using a composite(RCA) video cable to connect from the Video output(yellow color) from the receiver to the TV composite video input.Turn on your IPOD,and you are ready to see the on screen manual. Hey,this is just a lazy way to start you off if tomorrow night you have a date;otherwise, set it up properly by using the instruction! Cheers, solutiondoct
IF YOUR NOT USING A DENON IPOD DOCKING STATION IT WILL NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
YOU CAN CONNCET OTHER TYPES OF IPOD DOCKING STATIONS BUT YOU WILL NOT HAVE CONTROL THROUGH THE DENON AND ONLY CONNECT THE AUDIO FOR THAT DOCKING STATION TO THE DENON AS ANOTHER SOURCE INPUT
