Is there an up-to-date Mac OS driver for the CopyStar C-2030? System: Mac OS 10.6 Connection: Network Driver Used: Kyocera Driver by GutenPrint My client would like to continue printing to the Copystar from all of the Macs in the office but we are seeing increasing miscommunications between the kyocera driver and the printer. I keep getting pointed to the Kyocera driver for the C-2030 even though the driver was not exclusively made for it. It does not work well except for the most basic print jobs. Help Please : )

SOURCE: Won't print documents from computer! PLEASE HELP! ASAP!

You cannot use an IP number for more then one device. It is an unique identification number. On the PORT section uner the Windows driver, change the last three digits for the Copystar machine, do not change the other ones (keep in mind that it should be unique!). Then go to the copier and thorugh the user panel get into network settings and enter the COMPLETE IP number just typed in Windows. It should work.

SOURCE: kyocera cs 1820 or copystar = error message = 3200

3200 is a problem with the exposure lamp. If you are in a dirty enviroment, the problem could be dirty mirrors under the scanner glass.

ok... I am tech... and I had the same problem... you need to install the generic postscript driver then goto this ip address (http://localhost:631)and tune the driver... if not you will only print from tray 1 and only a4 paper size...

Can you do macs? how do i print duplex with this printer, duplex is suported by my mac

The Canon-supplied MP530 driver doesn't have duplex printing as a print option. Mac OS 10.5 has Gutenprint drivers built-in for a number of popular printers, including the Canon MP500 which is a near match for the MP530 and includes the two-sided option for printing.

With the MP530 plugged into your Mac (or, presumably, available over the network) go to the Add Printer wizard ( System Preferences > Print & Fax > + ). Pick MP530, name the printer something like "MP530 Gutenprint" and under "Print Using:" choose "Select a driver to use...", select "Canon PIXMA MP500 - Gutenprint v5.1.3" and then Add the printer.

The MP500 Gutenprint driver isn't a perfect substitute for the MP530 one, however, so you should do this in addition to installing the proper MP530 driver from the Canon website and adding the printer using that driver with a name like just "MP530" or "MP530 Canon". In a year or two of using the Gutenprint driver I've only once had a print job that wouldn't render correctly (some missing lines on the printout), and for that one time I had to switch to the Canon-supplied driver to get it to work. All the other times I find it very convenient to have two-sided printing available as an option.

The two sided printing isn't particularly fast, but it's a whole lot more convenient than manually printing the odd pages and then the even pages.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

How do I install driver for Kyocera CS 5035 on MAC

Kyocera and Copystar models are the same just replace KM with CS.

The following instructions should help you. TO download the current driver use this link to th emanufacture website; http://usa.kyoceramita.com/americas/jsp/Kyocera/resource_details.jsp?rid=18657.

Kyocera Printer Drivers and Mac OS® X 10.5 Leopard FAQ:
Is the installation for Mac OS X 10.5 the same as for Mac OS X 10.4 and earlier? Mac OS X 10.5 introduced a new printing architecture that requires changes to the installer and installation process. For this reason, Mac OS X 10.5 requires a new printer driver installer.

I cannot see my Kyocera AppleTalk® printer. How can I make it visible to OS X 10.5? AppleTalk is disabled by default in Mac OS X 10.5. Enable AppleTalk to discover your Kyocera printer. If you use the Kyocera installer, a message will appear, asking you to enable AppleTalk. Click Yes to continue the installation.

I cannot find Printer Setup Utility on Mac OS X 10.5. Is it still supported? Apple has removed Printer Setup Utility from Mac OS X 10.5. To install a printer, open System Preferences and click Print & Fax.

When I manually install a printer, multiple PPD files are listed for the same Kyocera model. Which should I choose? When manually installing a printer or changing a PPD for a installed printer, both Linux and Mac OS X PPDs are listed for some older Kyocera models due to a change in PPD handling in Mac OS X 10.5. Linux PPDs can be identified by the word Gutenprint in the PPD filenames.

What do I need to get my Copystar cs-2030 on a network in order to scan and print? Is there a network card that needs to be installed?

you need a print system k... print card... and a scan system a card...call a kyocera dealer... they will also network it for you... for the price off those two you might be able to buy a km4035 with those two options installed and pay a local tech to network the copier...

CS 2550 software

You can find the drivers for this unit at the Kyocera-Mita America website. Follow this link to the download section and find the appropriate drivers for your operating system. I would suggest using the KX Drivers as they are the most useful and offer the greatest control of the printer.

http://www.kyoceramita.com/download/

Choose your country and then find your model of system. You will see everything listed at KM series, these are the same devices just labeled as CS for the Copystar line of machines. Find the KM 2550 driver file and download the software and install it as you would any other printer in Window or Mac OS.

I was a Systems and Technical Sales Engineer for Kyocera-Mita for more than 6 years from 1998 - 2005 and worked extensively with the R&D Teams in Japan on the development of these systems.

Hope this gets you going.

Cheers,

Keith
