I started with 1 thin horizontal black line in the middle of my screen a couple of months ago. Every 2 weeks I get another one. I now have 8 thin horizontal black lines randomly spaced. They never go away. (The picture quality and sound are good.) Can you help? Oh yes, my waranty ran out!!!

Ive got bad news for you, about 90% of the time black horizontal lines are caused by the panel failing, your going to need a new TV. You can try replacing the timing board but the chances of it fixing it are slim..

This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.

The black vertical line is caused by a leaking capacitor, Check and replace poped capacitor with a new won and it will work fine again. No worries.

Fixed non moving lines usually means you have a problem in the panel display or t-con. If it is in warranty get it to a factory authorized service center. If not you can try to change the t-con and see if this fixes the problem, if not then it will be the panel it's self and will be cost prohibitive to repair.

This is vertical problem. The tv have a cold solder in vertical ic or ic is bad.
