SOURCE: proform 360p stuck on incline

I had the exact same problem.

This usually happens if you switch it off at the mains while the incline is adjusting or is somewhere other than lowest. You should always make sure before finishing off, to lower everything.

Now for the solution: If you open up the case it has 5 or 6 black philips (cross head) screws (use your user manual if you don't have your original go to proform and find the support link and download the .PDF if your model is not available get the one before or after in the same model product line (model number is below the power input)).

Make sure you remove the power before opening the cover, obviously.

Anyway, once opened, you should find a sheet of paper wrapped around in some plastic wallet. On that paper it should explain everything. Try not to mess with too much things in the settings, otherwise you might mess it up badly.

Mine is something like: Hold the speed up (+) button and then while holding the button insert the key - that will get you to the service menu (obviously the power has to be connected).

Once in the menu pressing the incline up does a self-calibration (maximum up and maximum down) after that it should be perfect.

Remove the key any time to come out of that mode and resume normal operation.

I may not find this place for any more replies 'cos i only found this site by accident. While looking for info. on my burnt out motor model: PETL 3013.6 .... But i have come across someone selling a faulty one on ebay for like 5 quids... it's picking it up the trouble!

SOURCE: my proform 360p treadmill is stuck on full incline

try thisSometimes incline motors will get frozen in position and need broke free. Try this:
take the motor cover off and take the screw out of the bottom of the incline motor that is attached to the screw assembly. Once you remove the screw you should be able to break the incline motor free. run the incline up and down with the screw still off( laying the treadmill on its side may make this easier). Once it goes up and down (hold the screw so it goes in and out) reattach it then run the calibration described below. If it was just stuck it should work fine.

1. remove safety key
2. press and hold the speed+ and stop keys at the same time
3. Put the safety key in/on and release the keys
4. press stop once
5. hit the incline + arrow and let the incline go the whole way up and down
6. remove safety key and try

If these instructions do not work to fix the incline motor
check your main harness running down the right leg for breaks in the wires or a loose connection if nothings found you can switch the red and black wires on the incline motor terminal block and see if it goes down. If it does you know you are only getting voltage to one side of the motor. There is a schematic under the motor hood that tells you what the voltage should be when you press the up or down keys. Use a multi-meter to see if you are getting the correct voltage coming from the console to the motor control board and then from the board to the motor. If no voltage from console-replace console if you have voltage from console but not from board - replace board and finally if you have voltage from console and from board replace motor. You will need to test the voltage both when pressing the up key and the down key.

SOURCE: Describe your proform 765 ekg

The problem you have is one of two things. 1 you have a loose walk belt, or 2 you have a spun front drive pully.

You need to remove the front cover to be able to observe the drive belt as it is turning on the drive pully( on the LH side of the front roller) try to stop the walk belt while traveling at speed setting 3. Hang on to the side handles, if the drive belt runs as normal, watch the front roller it will be slipping. If this happens you will need to replace the front roller.

SOURCE: can I dismantle proform 360p to move it

When plugging my treadmill in it was going at max speed without the key even in. Now it has slowed to a complete stop and I can not get it to move. The incline works, but not the speed.

Proform 360p belts slips

Side to side? Or front to back? If side to side, turn the Allen bolts on both sides of the back of the base the same direction in the opposite way of the slip. If front to back and the machine has been used a lot, the belt is probably stretched and needs to be replaced. See Treadmill Parts for a quote.

Need lubrication for proform 785 belt

Some ProForm treadmills require lubrication every six months or so, depending on the usage amount. Lift the walking belt and feel on the underside of the belt. If it is dry, you should lubricate it. ProForm recommends you use 100-percent, non-petroleum silicone spray to lubricate the walking belt. Do not use wax or other lubricants, such as WD-40 or a Teflon-based spray

I have a pro form treadmill and it seems like the belt is sticking, its about 14 yrs old. I think I might need to replace the belt

kilgore511,

The most common cause of belt sticking or "slippage" is lack of lubrication. Most treadmill belts use lubrication on the underside of the belt to reduce friction between the belt and the platform. This helps the treadmill glide along smoothly under the weight of a person. If your belt is lacking in lubrication, it can catch on the treadmill platform. Apply lubrication every few months to the underside of the belt to prevent this from occurring.

A petroleum or silicone based lubricant is recommended, and most easily applied in a spray can. Simply lift up the belt about midway along the platform and spray a small amount of lubricant underneath from about the middle of the platform width to the closest edge. Repeat from the other side. Apply lubricant sparingly...it can be messy.

Next, turn on the treadmill and let it run for a minute, then check if the belt still sticks. A little more lubricant may be necessary.

If you have found this helpful, please take a moment to give me four thumbs up.

When I turn on the treadmill, after runinng for a few seconds, the belt makes a squeaky sound, as if it needs to be oiled up or needs adjustment. What can be done to fix this? Any suggestions are greatly...

The best recommendation and the most inexpensive would be to lubricate it. Do not use a silicone spray or anything with silicone in it. You should us a waxy lubricant or teflon based. Most specific treadmill lubricants suffice. If the sound is coming from the front of the machine then I would check the drive belt that goes from the front roller to the motor. These are 90% the causes of the sound. Lubricating and tightening generally corrects the problem.
