Beth, first check the blower's cord to be sure that it's still plugged into the wall outlet. Also, check your home's circuit breaker panel for a tripped circuit breaker, that is feeding that outlet.

On the mechanical side there's 3 things that need to be done:

1. Check the Fan Control by shorting across the terminals.
2. Check for blower wheel binding, by removing the wheel and operating the motor.
3. Check for frozen bearing due to a lack of oil.

To further help you with a parts breakdown, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your Model. You can download & print it if you like.

Frigidaire stove model CFEF372EC3 Ser #NF60720192

Things to check : Thermostat, heating element and the circuit breaker for the stove at the power panel. If the stove has lights and the clock works, there is a 100 % chance the circuit breaker is at fault. There are 2 breakers with joined trip handles. One of those breakers has tripped without tripping the other which stops 20 volts but not 120 volts that the clock and light run off of. You can use a multimeter to check the element for continuity. If there is continuity then check for the presence of voltage at the element terminals. None indicates a bad thermostat.

Our furnace is less than 1 year old - turned it on the other day the the blower does not work ????

Depending on which model optional blower you have, either one requires that the fan switch be turned ON for it to operate (manually or automatically). Also be sure that the blower cord is plugged into a functional* wall outlet. I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for your model Direct Vent Heater. In case you have misplaced yours. Starting on page 18, you will find the 2 optional blower models.Determine which one you have and follow their suggested recommendations, as one requires oiling several times during the heating season.

* "Functional" meaning there is power to that outlet and a circuit breaker has not been tripped.

If you continue to have an unsolvable problem contact Empire Comfort Systems Technical Service Dept 800-851-3153. The blower has a I year warranty. If you have your dated Proof of Purchase, repairs or replacement may be covered.

Had a problem with the thermostat connected to GW-50-4 Wall furnace. One fan is not working at all, the other fan runs continuously even when the furnace isn't running. Is there a control swith or...

Jake, it sounds like the motor coil wiring on the blower that doesn't work may be damaged or has been disconnected.

Regarding the one that is still running. The automatic fan control is located on the bottom of the blower assembly. The fan control is a nonadjustable, automatic type. The fan control will require between 3 and 7 minutes of main burner operation before the fan control "closes" and activates the blower. The blower will continue to run between 3 and 7 minutes after the main burner shuts off, before the fan control "opens" and deactivates the blower. In which case, if it continues to run and run and run, the fan control switch (part # R-2503) may have failed and will need to be replaced. You can order the part from Empire Comfort Systems Tech Service 800-851-3153. Have the Model Number, Serial Number of the heater handy, as well a the Part Number. when you call.

To help you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for that model wall heater. You can download and print it for future reference.

My empire heater wont turn off and just keeps blowing cold air. pilot is lit and all thermostat wires seem to be connected. any ideas?

Sounds like the thermostat for the blower motor (not the gas thermostat) has shorted. Remove front cover on stove. Follow the wires from the blower motor back to the blower thermostat. Replace with new one. Blower model # DRB-1.
