Go into the manufacturer's website and download the driver again.
Get onlineand got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "DellSupport" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operatingsystem when requested. Download and install the Keyboard drivers. The drivers for hotkeys might be under Input, Keyboard, etc. You can also check to see if there is software on the driver site for hotkeys.
It should be a simple fix. Start your laptop and pay attention to the screen. Press the F12 key (or F11) to enter "SETUP" then find the NUMLOC command and make sure that its DISABLED or OFF. This will turn this option off andyou will only be able to use the number's keys on the top of the keyboard. Be careful when entering SETUP. You don't want to change anything you don't have to.

Hi John, It sounds to me like you have your Num Lock on. Find the Num Lock key (it should be on the top right of the keyboard) press that key and your keyboard will return to normal.
Sounds like your number lock is on. Find the key with blue lettering that says 'Num Lk' (or something very similar). Press Fn and that key, and your number lock will be turned off and your keys will go back to normal.
