The developer doesn't have a reset code. It uses a calibration program instead with the reset integrated into it.
Even though the copy quality is fine for now, it can change in the next few days. You should order some developer.

Apparently your machine is set to stop when the supply counters trigger a maintenance code. You can type # * C * and go into Sim 26-38 and bypass this.
VC means your cyan developer has reached its' rated life of 60,000 copies and needs to be changed. Your yellow and magenta developer which are usually changed at the same time as the cyan have also reached their end of life (VM, VY) and so all 3 will need to be changed (not black, your VK code will come up at 100,000).
You will need the color developer kit and the seals and filter. Sim 24 resets the counters and sim 25 resets the toner-developer mix ratio (this is MANDATORY or your new developer will be ruined, you must run the copier with a door open and only close it when you are ready to set the mix).
There's also various color calibrations after this you can get from a service manual. DO NOT run old developer through your machine, it will eventually lose its' magnetic properties and be carried through the copier sandblasting everything in its' path.
Hallow, mostly when you see signs on the machine, its always good to obey their meaning for copier reliability. When the copy quality is good and the service and developer signs appear, you can continue working and ignore them but if they offend you, then here is the way to reset;
Press C then density then C then density keys in that order. Display must go off if not repeat till it does.
For service call reset, enter 20 then press copy key then 1 then copy key.
For developer reset, repeat 1 above and enter 24 then copy key then 3 then copy key.
Turn the copier off then on and the signs will not appear.
On your keypad press in order # * C * .That will put the machine in diagnostics. Then enter 14 like you were making 14 copies. then press 1, then start, that will reset the machine.
It's not developer light. It is drum unit light and maintenance. You have to replace the Drum, Blade and Developer. After changing them you have to reset the maintenance, drum,developer counter. This procedure must be made by a copier tech.
But if you still want only the developer the code is AR-202D
my sharp z845 copier is showing drum light what could be the cause?
