Hello, welcome to FixYa. I understand you have a Frigidaire washer with an error code E41, correct ? Can you reply and include the complete model number ? This will let me speak specifically about your washer instead of generalizing...which can be fine, but specifics are always better. I'll watch for your reply and go from there. Thank you. Regards, Macmarkus :)

    Hello again,

Thank you for replying, that number is close enough, 6000series Affinity. Based on the info you provided, specifically the E41 error, It sounds like the unit is detecting an unlocked door, loose wire, or the control itself is bad.

(E41= Shorted or open. Defective door lock assembly.Around 1500Ohms. Defective control board.)

The dr simply indicates the control thinks you're trying to start the machine while it has an open door...that is just just a side affect of the door lock assembly.

    Here's how to check...

**Unplug the unit from the wall first...safety first**

Remove the door lock assembly and measure the resistance of the PTC. Should get a reading of around 1500ohms.

Attached here is a great tutorial for accessing the assembly for testing and replacing.

Let me know if you need further assistance going forward or if anything is not clear. I also have a service manual I can provide if you want to reply with an email address so I can send it as a "pdf" attachment.

Thank's again for visiting FixYa today. Good luck.

    Regards,

    Macmarkus :)

Model AEQ7000ES1. What does code E41 mean?

The Frigidaire Affinity Washer Error E41 is a door lock error. It means the primary control thinks the door is open. If the door is closed and this error persists, then in most cases, you will need to replace the door lock assembly on the washer. Sometimes this error can be caused by the control board, but it's more common for the door lock assembly to have failed than the control board.

Oven Lock stuck open before start of self-cleaning cycle I get a code F9, a flashing lock light, a continous beep and a dr code on the panel when I try to set self-cleaning cycle again.

Thank you for your inquiry, Lucie!

From what you have described your Frigidaire oven lock is stuck open and you are receiving error codes "F9" and "DR". The "F9" error code stands for runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. The "DR" code means that the door is not closed or the door latch is not recognizing the door is closed. This could be an issue with your door latch or control panel. If the reset does not help correct your issues I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. Best of luck! -Matt

I have a Frigidaire front load washer #ATF6000SF1 and need to reset the PAU and E41 error code. I cannot get the unit into diagnostic mode to accomplish this. How can I reset this code?

I appreciate your post, Josh Orenstein!
From my understanding your Frigidaire washer is displaying "PAU" and "E41". "PAU" normally displays when there is an interruption to the cycle and "E41" means the main control board thinks the door switch is open. Either code can display due to a faulty door latch assembly, door strike, or main control board. You can attempt to perform a factory reset by holding down the Start/Pause button and Select button until a signal sounds. Also review the door latch and strike to see if there is any visible damage that could cause a short within the components. If there is no visible damage you may want to consult with a technician for proper diagnosis and repair of your washer. Hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

My zanussi zwg 6141p washing machine is calling water at start of cycle but is not going into drawer to swill out detergent , is also stopping half way with the green light on the start button flashin

Some appliances malfunction can be displayed in hexadecimal or in binary code.
So your device is defective and shows you what's wrong. You have to count how many times flashes red light and how many times flashes green light. Red light shows the first error number and green light the second error number.
For example: you forgot to close the door and you started washing machine. After some time (timeout) will generate an alarm. Four times will flash red light and once the green light which means error code " E41 " or "Open door"
" E20 " means "No drain water"
" E10 " means "No fill up water"

E41 error. Does anyone know that this error is EXACTLY ??? Thank you.

Hello Greg_Meredit, this is JK. I see that you are getting an E41 error message on your washer. The E41 error is where the main control board thinks that the door switch is open. You would need to check the door to make sure that it is closing securely. If the door is closing but the problem still occurs there could be a problem with the door switch assembly or the main control board. Hope this helps!

What is error code E41

Hello Scott - If you are receiving an error code E41, your loading door may be ajar. Double-check to ensure that it is closed. If it is secure, reset the power to your appliance for about 30 seconds. You can do this by unplugging the unit or flipping your circuit breaker into the off position. If the error persists, it could either be the door switch assembly or your unit's main control board. In that case, a certified technician would generally replace the faulty part after proper diagnosis.

My Frigidaire Affinity washer stopped working in middle of cycle and shows E41 code.

Hello Shawn Smith - Typically error code E41 indicates that washer has detected that the main control board thinks the door switch is open. Try reprogramming the washer by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart unit. If it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately and properly assist with the repairs.

It says dr and beeps on my frigidaire front load washer

Hello shadow183 - Typically DR is a generic door error code. Possibly the door is not shutting properly, either it is sagging and not latching properly or the door sensor and the main control board are not communicating correctly. You would need this to be diagnosed by a professional technician in order to properly repair the machine.

Affinity frigidare front load washer won't start. It beeps with message flashing (DR)

Hello zabbster - Typically the DR or DO error code indicates that the door switch is not closed. Make sure that the door lock is completely closed. If the door is closed, make sure the door latch is not broken. If the latch is broken, you may possibly need to replace the door lock switch.

Frigidaire Affinity washer (LAFW3511KW0) with an E41 error. I have unplugged to reset (no change), checked the stricker (fine), removed outer seal and disconnected and reattached (I also received an E41...

Install the door lock/switch assembly with the door switch harness disconnected but "jumped". Jump a wire between the wire harness terminals and if the error code (E41) stops appearing when the machine is started, the door lock/switch assembly is indeed faulty and needs to be replaced.

jahn27_554.jpg

Check the continuity of the door switch harness connecting the switch and terminal J2 of of the control board if the error code (E41) still appears every time the machine is started after putting a jumper wire between the door switch harness terminals.

jahn27_555.jpg
jahn27_556.jpg

Make sure the connectors are clean and snugly connected to both. Replace the wire harness if you are skeptical about its condition. Disconnecting the door switch wire harness (J2) from the control board and putting a jumper wire between the leads of terminal J2 on the control board will directly confirm the condition of the wire harness and the board itself. The wire harness is the problem and must be replaced if the error code E41 stops appearing. On the other hand, consider replacing the control board if the error code still flashes even when the leads of terminal J2 on the board is shorted ("jumped").
