Question about LG 50PX1D 50 in. Plasma Television
Hi , was watching my 42 inch LG Plasma TV last night, when I heard a click noise and the picture went immediately but the sound remained fine, I could switch channels but no picture, would you have any idea what the problem is. thanks
42 inch LG Plasma TV - Lost picture but sound still can be heard! .
the sound is fine on my plasma TV however when i turn it on all I get is a really dark screen and dark shadows. I went to turn on my LG 50PX1D Plasma TV last friday Sept 12th and heard a loud popping noise like a bulb or fuse blew and then the TV screen went almost black you can barely see any picture. The volume and channel changing is fine. I am so dissapointed to see how many other people are experiencing the same problem and LG seems to be doing nothing to correct it there should be a recall. The TV was manufactured in Oct 2005 and i have owned it for about 2 1/2 to 3 years and can't believe this happened. I paid alot of money for it and i would of never bought it if i knew that there were known problems. I want this fixed at LG's expense and i hope they stand behind their products better in the future they should be ashamed of themselves.
Hi , I recently had the same problem which I was determined to fix . So I did a few weeks of research to find that it was the Y SUS board which burns out. I'm sure you realized that the TV gets hot. Personally I think this is why. circuit boards don't like heat and I've learned that the cooling fans are a joke. I replaced the board and got my picture back. I proved the fan theory because after the screen started to act up. I placed a cooling fan near the vent holes on top and the problem cleared right up,It also helps if you lower the brightness which helps out on the heat situation.I will soon be adding a fan with a temp. sensor. This shoud help if your screen has lines when you initially turn the cool TV on.then I have Some other costless solutions. Hope this helped these are great TV's and like our cars we maintain them not throw them away..................................Mr Wiseman
