Comone end has a cap on it, the other is blanked off. looking thro side viewer is black. I have no idea & no instructions so please can you help!

This seems to be a comon problem with canon printers the black head is either dirty or needs to be replaced. canon should look into this

to clean heads use rubbing alcohol, cotton swab

put some rubbing alcohol on the cotton swab and gently rub the black portion of the head until it is clean

bsims77010, Tell me brand name of electrolytic filter capacitors on the large "switch-mode-power-supply / CCFL inverter supply" printed circuit board. Are any of them SWOLLEN on the end that is up ??? You can see typical "failed units if you visit YOUTUBE for video clips that show owners/tech's that replace them with new ones and now have working units again. You must tell me more about this "keeps turning off" thing???? Is unit going to "black screen" only?? Or is it going to "black n blank" screen"??? There is a difference!!! If black only then 5vdc might be ok! If "black n blank then +12vdc & +5vdc sources could be in shut down mode. Do you see screen data with aid of bright flashlight held 1 inch from the "black" screen?? Once you have knowledge of what makes "raw white light" on reverse side of your lcd panel, then you will have clue to how the new screw-in, curlie-Q style CFL light bulbs work and what an "electronic ballast" circuit is. 12fixlouie

Does it bleep? do you wan't the bad news or the bad news,It's a comon fault with all HP DV models,the graphic chips gone & it can't be replaced.
But just to make sure,plug a desktop monitor in to the VGA port on the side of the laptop then restart it.
if theirs no picture then bad look,bin it,If their is a picture then you just need a new screen.

You will not find a manual for this scope -- sold by Toys R Us by the way.

However Meade telescopes maintains a web site with all their manuals. REFLECTORS all go together in a similar fashion. Look on the web page below under REFLECTORS for a manual similar to your telescope.

The eyepiece end is the end pointed UP.

Remove the lens cap on the top.

CCD Imager ( an electronic part) at the end of Lens Assy got defective thats why you can't see any result in camera mode.
Please contact nearset Sony repair shop for replacement of CCD Imager IC.
