SOURCE: viewsonic vg2021m base mount

Gently lay the nonitor, face down, on a table such that it will not be damaged while you remove the base. You will find a curved strip of plastic about 1 1/4 inch wide and 4 inches long. Near the center of this strip, you will find two parallel plastic ridges. These are clips that hold the base to the monitor support post. Squeeze these clips together to remove the base from the support post. I was able to squeeze the rear strip toward the rear of the base and ease the rear of the base off that clip and it came apart ok. It is a bit tricky, but doable. Good luck.

Viewsonic VA1918wm-2 VS12085 intermitent display

If you have not updated the graph drivers, and it has been working, then you should contact View-sonic, go to their website, check warranty, but if you didn't change anything, it should be the monitor having problems. Did you check the plugs on the PC and monitor, the power plug on the monitor, make sure they are connected right and didn't come lose.

2-This step is very important. The collar has two parts snapped in together, with 3 snap in each side. Carefully use small flat screw driver to take off the back side of collar

I have pentium computer - D815EEA2 Motherboard P-III, 733 Mhz. CPU Now i purchase viewsonic VA1918WM Monitor and picture is flicking, and only one setting of resolution in 1024 by 768 pixels High (24 Bits)...

The reason you are getting the flickering is because the refresh rate is not set correctly. Click on Start>Control Panel>Display>Settings>Advanced>Monitor. In the middle of the window you will see the refresh rate. It should be set between 60-75. Try setting it between that range and try it a few times until the screen stops flickering.

VG930M-3 Taking base of this monitor...

After a chat with a Viewsonic tech and pulling out a lot of screws, this is what I discovered you have to do;

Find a secure place to turn your VG930M upside down, like on an armchair.

Undo the central screw on the base and remove the rotating black plastic plate.  Make sure you know which way it goes back on again.

Remove all the screws on the metal plate, something like eight around the circumference and another two which attach to the LCD support column. (You were never just going to pull that base off!).

Now for the tricky bit! The support column has two extensions that extend down into the base and click into position.  You have to get a flat blade screwdriver and push one of them towards the centre while trying to lift the base just a little away from the support column, so that it is unclipped.

Then you have to do the same with the other extension, while lifting the base a little. The base should now pop off.

Not as straight forward as some screens but achievable!
Good Luck!
