If the noise was coming from around your belt area there is one of two things it could be. The first thing it could be is your belt automatic tensioner. Another thing it could be is that another one one of your pulleys may be starting to go bad. This happens when the bearings start to fail. If you are no longer hear the noise I would say you should be fine for now, but if you are planning on taking any long trips I would have it checked before I left. I hope this helps you, and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

F22a engine produces strange noise most obvious at 2000 rpm, what could the problem be?

Without a general description of what the noice sounds like, squeal as compared to knocking, it is impossible to help you. Engines make a lot of different noises, so try and help by describing noise. I would suspect it is belt related, or tension pulley related as these are RPM variable noises, belts tend to slip when you accelerate and can be quite loud with a serpentine belt as example.

I started my 2000 dodge dakota truck and immediately heard a loud noise. When I started drivig the power steering would not work. Suggestions?

The power steering system has two main components - the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic ram. The pump is driven by a belt situated on the front of the engine, so if you heard a noise at start-up, the chances are that something went bang around the pump area, maybe the drive belt or a broken pulley. Locate the pump and do a visual to see if you can identify a problem there.
It is very unlikely that the ram would have a problem, or at least a sudden problem as the one you are describing.

My friend just install a serpantine tensioner pully & a belt on my 2000 2.4 grand am... but since then there's an annoying squeaky noise whenever I'm driving... he told me it will stop after a while b

double check the belt length if its too short even a little it can cause a squeak.also make sure there is no oil on any of the pulleys as well make sure the tensioner was installled properly and the pulley is the correct one.this does happen if someone doesn`t take the time to make sure of this and assumes they have been given the correct parts.

Very loud noice in brakes

its possible that one of the caliper piston has seized.
to fix this remove the wheel and take out the pads and try and force the piston back(it takes some elbow grease), then bleed the brake that has seized if this does not work replace the caliper (breakers yard??)
