Same problem...Went to Goodwill Store, they usually have a large basket of remotes. I found a Daewoo remote for a TV only, HOWEVER on the bottom it has a AIR/CABLE button. The remote doesn't say Daewoo on it only..."Remote Controller R-25B03". The rest of the button of course work with the TV portion of the DVN-14F6N.
If your tv has a cable box, your connections should be as follows:
cable line from wall to cable box input. output from cable box to vcr
input. vcr output to tv input. both the tv & the vcr should be on channel 3
if you are using the rca cables,(red, white &yellow) just match the colors of the outputs
from the cable box out, to the vcr in, then vcr output to the tv. you will need to
put the vcr or tv on a aux channel or line/source input.if you don't have a cable box,
your vcr can be your tuner.scroll down on the tv channel down button till you
get to channel 3 or line in/source.if your vcr has all the channels programmed,
you can use the vcr remote to change channels.since you don't have tv remote.
most tv's if you scroll
down under channel 2 will give you the aux/line in/source inputs.
in some dollar stores they have universal remotes that may control
your tv.you can also try radio shack. let me know if this works.
