I have a sony handycam vision 200x digital zoom (ccd-trv37) NTSC. I have had it for over 9 years. Recenty it has been giving me some problems. When I put it on charge it makes these beeping noises. The little screen where you can see it charging keeps flashing on and off with beeping noises. It doesn't seem like it is taking the charge. What should I do? Does it need a new battery Sony NP-F330 (lithium). Please help

Have you tried using another battery? Nine years old is much more than you can pay a rechargeable battery with the proper use and not very extensive. I think it's time to invest in a new battery. Now they are very cheap in the same brand, there are even other, known as "alternatives":

Hi8 Video to DVD

CCD-TRV37 is analog video camcorder and can not be hooked directly with computer because camcorder video-audio out is analog and computer needs digital format.

You can hook camcorder with DVD Recorder and burn a DVD. Now you have data in digital format and can transfer in your computer.

DVD conversion

You will have download your analog video to the computer by accessing the utility on the computer programs. Make sure you select the NTSC format on the computer then upload the video to DVD recording. If our camera has S-video output, use this for better resolution

How Do I Edit the Film?

Look for the output jacks on your camera, hook them to your computer's audio/video input. Try accessing the recording utility on the computer then upload footage through NTSC format. You can then edit the footage. If your camera and computer utilize S-video, use them for best resolution
