I just purchased a nsm galaxy 100 cd jukebox really cheap but not working. the guy told me everything worked but it wont play the cd.
I go the machine today. not very happy about the condition and am missing a few pieces but what do you expect for $100. i plugged it in and i heard the amp and speakers kick on. the lights work, the card flipper works, the coin acceptor works, the keyboard works but thats it. i loaded one cd in a tray and tried to play it. nothing! i unplugged it, checked for loose wires and found the ground for the cd player unit disconnected. i plugged it in and turned it on and nothing. i then hit this little metal button on the front of the cd player unit and the unit went up and picked up the cd and loaded it. Then nothing. it didnt spin or anything. it started flashing a series of numbers on the display and there was a red blinking light on the main circuit board. just above it there is four more red lights and they were all on. the cd is still in the player and wont return. Any guesses??????????????????????????????? also where can i get the different plastic decorative panels to replace mine? thanks
Sorry for my bad englisch...i am from the netherlands...i have a nsm songbird cd-jukebox...i put one euro piece on the laser so he has a little more pressure on the cd...thats all...he is working perfect now
Make sure your trays are on the right slots it happened to me early on my silvercity and late found i had the trays in the one slot the other was in the one slightly under so check
HI I have a problem with my NSM Old Fashion having a error message 94 sometimes I get the following message: 10882 any ideas?? been working perfectly since I bought it last July refurbished.

The player itself is defective. It is not reading the cd. You need to replace the player, just get the information off the player and find a new upgraded one.
First I thought I would ask if you had a CD pro player or a CDM4 player? What error codes are you getting? We can repair any problem you may have with our many test fixtures. the cd now spins but still doesnt play!
I have the same problem with my Galaxy except it spins momentarily and then replaces the cd back in the rack. Some of the cd's were burned by me and some are from the store. I believe the Galaxies were cdm4 players (crescent slot) unless they were upgraded or replaced by the newer (straight slot) players. Mine is a CDM4, pretty sure of that. I have left a phone message with Jim T (above) hope he returns my call.
If you ever decide to do something with it like part it out, I have a Galaxy that needs a new pre-amp from the player cabinet (up above the player itself) or have the one I have tested.
fault depends on what number is showing and they will play home made cds if it picks up the vd then spins without playing and replaces it in the rack then its a faulty laser
