We purchased a Toro Walk Power Mower this summer. Got a recall notice due to self-propel drive system failure. We need to take the mower in for repair, but live in Cortez, Colorado. Cannot find a dealer nearby. We can take it in to a dealer in the Denver area, as we go to Denver from time to time. Would you give us a list of service dealers please? Thanks, Sue

I would say that to find a dealer in the Denver area you could go online and look up Toro dealers in that area. Now because of the difficulty your haveing, not haveing a dealer in your area , I would get in touch with TORO and explain to them your distance. IT IS POSSIBLE since TORO has to pay for recall repairs they would connect you with a dealer in your area. This will will make your life a little easier. TORO would make any arrangements for you, with a reputable dealer close to you. Try it, what do you have to lose.
GOOD LUCK.

Have a self-starting, self propelled toro lawn mower about 5 years old, I ran it out of gas by accident & now it won't start

It seems to be an obstruction in your fuel delivery system. Get a can of ether and a spray a short burst of it into the breather area near the carburetor, if the mower starts up and then stalls out, then you may need to get your carburetor serviced.

Toro Personal Pace self propel problem.

Your self-propel is probably belt driven. Belts can make an awfully lot of noise when unhappy. Possible it has rolled over and is running on the wrong side of the belt or is worn and just needs replaced. Hope this helps.,

Toro 20073 self propeled, walk behind mower-how to replace belt ?

Wait until the mower cools off

1. Remove the drive belt cover from the top of the mower
2. Tip the mower up, being careful to not go too far or the oil and fuels may spill out
3. Remove the mower blade - as I recall the bolt is 5/8" (could be 9/16") You will have to hold the blade from turning (if you have impact tools, this will be much easier)
4. Remove the blade
5. Pull the pulley out or off and remove the belt - be careful to not lose the crankshaft "woodruff" key - it's the little piece of half/moon shaped metal that keeps the pulley from spinning on the crankshaft.
6. Reverse the steps to reinstall

You MUST make sure the blade is tight when you reinstall it. Also, the blade usually fits over a couple of pins - make sure they are lined up properly and the blade is installed right-side up.
