I got nuvi 205w satnav cant remember code ulock it plz send me reset code plz

If you have a Garmin purchased well before 2019 dont do a full reset unless you really need to. This will reboot the system and you may fall foul of the 2019 GPS rollover. My unit was from 2015 and after a reset in 2022 the date was very wrong and nobody has a fix for it for satnavs just GPS units with an RS232 connector.

Every time the 205W is powered on, you must enter the PIN, or drive to your security location you set up when the PUN was first entered..

Try updating the operating system software.

• Download and install, to your computer, the latest version of WEBUPDATER from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27
• Connect your satnav to your computer and run the webupdater program.
  
• It will find any updates to the satnav operating system. Select all and install them.
• When the updates are installed webupdater will find optional updates. You don't need to install these unless you want to.
  

When they are downloaded safely disconnect your satnav and re-start it. This may solve your problem.

Sometimes this happens because the charger lead is not pushed fully into the back of the satnav even though it feels like it is. Pushing it in further may solve the problem.

You connect the satnav to your computer with a mini USB lead. It should have come with the satnav. The narrow end goes in the back of the satnav, where the power lead goes in the car, and the USB end goes in a USB socket on your computer.

If you didn't get a mini USB lead with your satnav you may already have one for something else. They come with many digital cameras, camcorders, smart phones, external hard drives etc.

If you don't have one any computer store should be able to sell you one.

With the satnav turned off Press the bottom right corner of the screen and then slide the on button to the right and hold it until the prompt comes on. You'll be asked if you want to do a factory reset. Select yes and it will reset.

When you update the maps the operating software is also updated. If you only want to update the software

1. Connect your satnav to your computer.
2. Download and install webupdater from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27
3. When webupdater is installed it'll search for updates to your operating software and install them if availiable.
   

This is normal. You should get a picture of a PC to show that it's connected. Since it would not be possible to update files that are in use the connection prevents the Satnav from being started.
