I have a Phillips DVD player, model DVP3982/37.
Was working fine but was playing around with remote and now when I insert a DVD, it displays "loading" for about 30 seconds and then changes to "No Disc". How can I fix this? Could I have accidentally turned on disc lock?....if so, How do I unlock it?
Thanks very much.
Brian
I had the exact same problem. When I finally opened the top there was another disk already in there. I guess if the unit shuts off and you leave aa disk in it will stay in the player even though when you open the door to place another disk in the tray will be empty. All you have to do is unscrew the cover aand then you will see a crossbar held in with two screws where the disks are. unscrew them and take out the two disks thay are stuck togeather. Replace eveything and rescrew and enjoy the movie!! Hope this helps!
If your DVD player is in trouble of "no disc", you could refer to this tutorial about "How to fix a DVD "No disc" error".

Yesterday a DVD was playing well without any problem. But today when trying to play the same DVD the message I receive is "No Disc". Any solution!!!!
I Have the SAME problem! I was able to play bith standard and dvd-r & dl's fine. Next day nothing! What gives? Maybe this explains why this model was fairly cheap.
